Staggering result for England.  A new era of Test cricket is well and truly underway, not to say we are the best team but will go for wins at all costs by the looks of it.

Used to look forward to first & last league games, boxing day fixture and 3rd round FA Cup tie, usually freezing cold and usually lose!
Sunday lunchtime is the worst possible time to watch a game, i won't be braving Sunday morning public transport for this one, Ill leave it to the Uber fans.
I wonder how many others won't bother also, would the foreign TV rights make more money for the club than 3000-4000 less in the crowd?

Dennis was a good man by and a too lad - A true gentleman and the communities he lived in lived him - he looked out for anyone and everyone and nothing was too much if he could help people out. Not everyone saw this side of him and many focused on his notoriety in other aspects. A genuine lovable rogue,  I considered him my friend and he will be dearly missed by so many people who’s life he touched.
Rest in peace big man ??

Not read all the thread so sorry if someone else has said this, but there's only 2 places you should be aiming with a penalty, right in the bottom corner or above shoulder height in the top corner, the latter gives more of a target to aim at in my opinion.
Not knocking any individuals though, because on a massive night they all volunteered to take one of the 5, and if there were more than 5 willing to do it, the order would be based on what the coaches had seen on the training pitch, so can't say "Roberts and Knight should have took them..... because we all know they obviously would be brilliant of course!"

And yet you’re not saying anything about Forsyth or Hourihane’s missed penalty? Or McGoldrick’s header that was saved? Or Bird dragging a shot wide? You constantly single Dobbin out for criticism. He is a young player, doing a job for the team we all support, his attitude and application seem spot on to me. Could he improve his finishing? Definitely. Could he provide some assists? For sure. Is it worth singling him out for criticism at every opportunity? No, no it isn’t

Why am I not surprised?! ?
Dobbin, Forsyth and Hourihane all had their penalties SAVED. How do you know it was a case of “letting” him take one? Maybe he was best in training, maybe he put his hand up when the others didn’t. Lay off the kid.

Stating the obvious but it's a game where even if every player puts in 100%, if Liverpool decide to go even into second gear, we're in for a hammering.
Klopp knows the Premier League title race is over, whilst I don't think it will be a full strength side out, it will be one to avoid any kind of banana skin as winning the cups is what their season hinges on now.
Southampton on Saturday, with all due respect to them, isn't a game which Klopp would be looking to mass rest his stars for.
For those going, enjoy the night out, make the day of it, despite the lazy stereotypes, Liverpool is a fantastic city to go out in. Massively jealous of you all.

Now I’m in a position to debate with you and there won’t be too much disagreement, probably just around how we get there and the fact that we also have to consider the , immediate short term , medium term and long term ,
I’ve kept half an eye on how much coal we import ( ex miner) and gas ,the figures are astounding when we have those things under our feet and the extra pollution in shipping coal from Austria and Russia must be massive , we have China manufacturing most of the wind farm equipment along with most stuff we consume, we have if figures I read are correct 35% of our energy at present comming from renewables ,,, where’s the money going why are the public not seeing cheaper energy ? Why are wind farm owners allowed to sell at cost rate of gas produced electricity, why are they allowed scams that let them double charge ( research it) , we must also remember that the minerals we are building on in terms of cars and energy storage batteries are not recyclable and also finite ,
if the climate 5 mins to midnight crisis is correct then the U.K. can do nothing on its own and the truth is we are buggered ,it’s a planet wide issue,
It’s  gonna take time and massive investment to move us to the Britain you describe , that won’t happen if we headlong crash our economy , we have to burn fossil fuels for the short to mid term as far as I can see to get to/ afford the long term goals , using our own is better for the environment and gives us independence
we will get nowhere if those on the never change side of the argument and those on the totally unworkable La la land side drown every bugger else out,
I support fracking , oil production and coal extraction in this country and the short term burning of thes fossil fuels if as a means to finance not needing them any more , I don’t support it a blind let’s burn them forever ??‍♂️
