Agree fully. The problem is that we haven't been promoted and each season trying to compete at the top end of the Championship drains cash and creates P&S issues. That's why we are where we are, not because Mel been enriching himself.
It could have all been so different. We've had so many chances at promotion where we've fallen just short. The difference between success and failure at this level is very fine. A goal here or a save there and it could have all been so different. Obviously Mel has made some mistakes, and I've posted about many of them, but his decisions have been tested and ours haven't.
I don't think any of us should feel any hostility to Mel. He's given it his all.

Yes, that is a point. Perhaps Alonso and everyone at the club are just "convinced" we're going to stay up - Although I'd find that unrealistic for anything involving millions of pounds to not consider it a serious risk.
Might be as simple as if the club goes down Alsonso has agreed a reduced price.
Might be Alonso is full of gibson....

The fact that worries me is, why would a buyer commit to a purchase before our Championship status is confirmed, as their new asset could devalue overnight?
In Hollowayesque terms, why buy a house when 120 travellers are about to move in at the bottom of the garden, but on the other hand you could find a lost Rembrandt in the attic.

Getting back to the potential takeover,
Fact : No limits sports ltd have agreed terms to buy DCFC.
Fact: Due diligence has been completed and the SPA signed.
Fact : A deposit has been paid and proof of funds has been seen by Mel’s lawyers.
Fact: We are waiting on EFL approval for the takeover.
Have I missed anything ?
