I'd suggest that's an outrageous post. No one ever booed any other anti-racism initiatives. There are reasons to boo the Black Lives Matter kneeling. My immediate family is half black, half white and everything in between, and united against the BLM stance. For most decent people, disagreeing with BLM has absolutely nothing to do with racism. I'd probably turn my back on it.
In previous posts on this topic I think I've tried to explain the original context of the Kaepernik protests, why they were appropriate and why they are inappropriate out of context in the UK. But this isn't meant to be a political thread.

In hindsight i made the terrible decision not to renew last season , been a season ticket holder for 35 years and i just thought last season was a waste of time renewing as i saw no way that fans would be allowed in , now im gutted that i may miss out this season as well due to limited attendances , hindsights a wonderful thing , i really miss going to the games and am genuinely gutted with my mistake

I'm 60, i've decided not to have the jab just yet.
I've worked non stop through it all in a busy factory. I believe me and the missus (who works in a school) have already had it 18months ago. 
We would isolate immediately if we had symptoms and we follow work/school rules on masks, social distancing/hand washing etc so we don't believe we are a threat to any one else.
We are both tested regularly and I have a temperature test every day on entrance to work.
I don't believe you transmit the disease if you don't have symptoms, its common sense really when you stop to think about it without the paranoia of the daily news.
Everyone should use their own discretion but I would not be happy for my grandchildren to have an injection that does not have a good few years of testing and checking of long term side effects.
As long as we all act responsibly it shouldn't be a problem.

I’ve spent most of the last fifty years trying to fit football in around work and family. I retired 18 months ago and now have lots of free days and plenty of time to get to matches but don’t have a match to go to ?

Wasn't step 4 of the roadmap the lifting of ALL remaining restrictions?
If people want to continue wearing masks, fine.
If people want to continue to socially distance, fine.
Time to let everyone else get on with their lives though.
Not sure what difference an extra 2 weeks will make, other than boosting the number of vaccinations in the age groups of people that dont particularly need them anyway.
 

I’m not just talking about the vaccine when I talk about the divide,
interesting my wife was expected to put herself and her family in the firing line when their was no vaccine which she happily did as she cares for the children she looks after,
the numbers of people not wanting the vaccine for whatever reasons relevant to themselves is minuscule and certainly not enough to cause problems ,
im personally sick to death of the demonising of those people , drummed up by the gov and media
mask wearing is another area , the poor sod gets really bad anxiety after about 5 mins in one but by god the reaction you get from people if you take it off even with an exemption is disgusting 

We have a topic on this forum for mental health which happily is treated with respect and understanding, people’s minds work differently and one mans spurious is another mans prison , how sad for the self proclaimed defenders of minorities and the vulnerable to lack the self awareness to see the contradiction in their words and treatment of others when suits,
my wife and both children suffer with ocd , wife really does not want the vaccine ( she has had covid ) , won’t go too deep but over the years we have had the kind of life experiences where if something can go wrong it bloody well has and to some real disastrous heartbreaking extent at times , blood clots are a very small chance side effect but to lots of people they are very real , who am I to tell her to have the vaccine ( had mine to play the game ) and who are you or anybody else to tell her or others to have it ?
the saddest part of all this is the divide it has caused in people and it’s only going to get worse , I put that down to the media and the government in equal measure 

Genuinely believe there will be mass protests if we don’t fully open up on 21st June.
Hospitalisations are steady, cases are low (but as a lot of restrictions have opened up a small rise is expected) and the vaccine role out is progressing at 600k jabs a day.
I am sat in a pub garden and being served outdoors by a member of staff wearing a full visor. How ridiculous is that?
Whilst we keep daily reporting of the numbers and print everything SAGE keep warning about instead of looking at their performance history, the hysteria will remain.
People need to start getting on with it - like a number of US States have done and shown life continues as normal doing the things we like doing!

Thanks for posting this. It is an excellent example of why I put up the hindsight thread. On the day that Cocu was sacked 90% were against Rooney being appointed interim manager. 2 months later and 94% were in favour of his appointment as permanent manager. Now it's probably 75% against him staying. It's dead easy to be a fan, but nearly impossible to be a chairman of a football club.
I'm sure Mel was more nervous than any fan about appointing Rooney initially. Yes it was temporary, but things could very easily have got even worse than they already were. 2 months and top 2 form later he probably had a grin bigger than the Cheshire Cat's. And now here we are, 1 win in 15 later and Mel has to decide whether to pull the trigger or not, costing the club millions of pounds. It's so easy sat in front of a computer screen clicking imaginary money away and throwing someone on the dole (Rooney doesn't need the money, but he won't be the only one out of the door). Any chairman has to fulfil the dreams of thousands of fans at the first attempt. He can't press the reset button or return to a previously saved game.
 
We as fans can change our minds in the bat of an eyelid. Just because we have though doesn't mean that we have the right to beat the chairman with a stick every time circumstances change.
 

I'm 33, the Mrs is under 30.
I've had one jab, she's had none. I don't really want people telling me I have to stay indoors and not do anything for another month. 
We've both worked though the pandemic, and as a direct consequence caught Covid back in January.
Let me ducking live. Sick of people who are vaccinated saying we have to wait. No thanks.
It's really not asking much considering the NHS is safe, hospitalisation are low and old people who are fully vaccinated are going on holiday and drinking in pubs.
Just open up the ducking country. Far more damage is being done by keeping us locked down.
