Yes. It’s quite a conundrum. He brings sponsorship, exposure, he can clearly persuade players to join us against the odds. His motivational skills are good and he seems now to be avoiding the dressing room clashes of last year (perhaps because it’s now his squad more or less albeit not the one he dreamed of). It seems he can attract buyers and the admins have hitched their wagon to his brand. Don’t think he develops our young talent especially well.   He can set up a team ok but when tactical nous is needed in the middle of a game, time and time again there is a vacuum, an abject inability to analyse what is befalling us. So the oppo can plan for our likely set ups and have a few changes pre-planned to deal with the threats we pose. The Milwall game I think was crucial because there was a danger of the rot setting in as it did last season. It did not, credit to him and the squad. So maybe we are on the up. He is learning, of course he is.
As for integrity, values (these things matter), it’s concerning that he seems to be surrounded by individuals who are less than wholesome. His decision to throw MM under the bus certainly rankled with me. But there’s a lot of nastiness in football and the culture of the game stinks, so maybe you sadly have to add a pinch of salt.
I hope he does well of course and continues to improve but we need to wait and see, as you wisely suggest

So it’s entirely fitting that the forum is titled ‘Wayne Rooney’s Derby County’. Have we become a conveyance for a global footballing icon ?? ?

It’s not dragging on though is it? The administrators made it clear they were hoping things would be sorted by the end of the year. Is it the end of the year yet?

FWIW, I think there is a very good chance that we are going to go down this year. It’s only realistic to make that assumption given all the odds that are stacked against us. But let’s not revel in it. Let’s not gain say every fan who wants to be optimistic and positive about our chances. Let’s not give up hope. That’s what being a fan is about. Otherwise, why bother?

Sadly, the forum's slowly but surely going to the dogs. Just a joyless, humourless pile-on, with the same folk posting the same stuff day after day with anyone trying to be remotely upbeat soon set upon by the know-all, mithering, man-baby, moodhoovers. I guess being 'right' trumps actually supporting the club when it needs it most, in the minds of some anyway.
Thankfully the lads doing the heavy lifting are still putting in a shift on the pitch, even if the performances are a little uneven. They've certainly not given up, even if half the 'supporters' on here have. What any of the players reading this forum would make of it, God only knows. It's hardly inspirational! ?

I wouldn't expect the verdict itself to do any such thing.  But the panel's write up, whatever the verdict, will no doubt report how the EFL were pushing for punishment (which incidentally they are not bound to do) and so will almost certainly provide further evidence of their vendetta against us. A leopard does not change it spots, and the only way we will see any change is if the EFL's regulatory functions are removed from them. When that happens it will not be before time.

If so, shall we move onto the next game?
We are all disappointed in the last couple of games, but having read about sacking Rooney, players not caring, players giving up, our recruitment is awful, we are definitely down  even down without a points reduction in the last 24 hours, it's time to regroup and be realistic.
Rooney wasn't the best manager in the Championship 4 games ago and he isn't the worst now. What we do have is a thin squad mainly made up of veterans and youngsters. We started yesterday's game with half of our outfield players aged 34 to 39. With the new manager bounce they played a high tempo and we got overrun. We look tired and are ready for the international break.
Are we going down? We are certainly up against it. There are so many variables, admin points appeals, ffp appeals and takeovers and that's before we get to what happens on the pitch. I think the players are giving their all and until the Blackburn game, so were the fans. These are trying times and we need to stick together and stay optimistic. We need to still be in the fight when the New Year comes. By then we should know more about points deductions, new owners and transfer capabilities.
If we get deducted 21 points, there is little hope, but we can't give up yet. Every point is vital and every fans support is too. I hope that our fans recent negativity doesn't transmit to the games. so let's all dust ourselves down and keep supporting our great club as best we can.
I don't know if we can manage this great escape but if we do, it will take the collective will of all of us.

I get the feeling some fans do not want us to be successful in this appeal, and then want the EFL to throw the book at us which would guarantee relegation and why?....Well we apparently deserve it.
One fact is, the administrators have taken a look at the books, and believe they have a case and as a Derby fan, call me odd, but I hope they are successful and the points deduction is reduced.
I know, I know, controversial right?! I promise you I'm not trolling here, I genuinely want us to be successful in this appeal.

These administrators are that good I think they'll get the 12 points back, the EFL will scrap the 9 points for FFP and give us an extra 6 points because they haven't a clue what they're doing.
We could quite easily be in the play offs by mid January.

    I agree with @RoyMac5.
People are essentially - cannot think of the right word, not lazy, not lethargic, not apethetic - but essentially they want someone else to do the work for them.
It's not just restricted to football. Look at child poverty, climate change - huge issues. There are a few activists but only a few. But if you asked anyone, they would say they are against children living in poverty or changes to the climate that will bring about untold damage to the world's ecosystem and economy. However, apart from ocassional donations to charity and a bit of recycling, those people are not joining the activists to demand change.
We all want a better outcome for our football club. RamsTrust and its members feel that they may - in some way - help to achieve that by their lobbying efforts.
If people on here - or elsewhere - do not want to join their organization, that's fine.
But some of the nitpicking on here is simply standing aside and picking fault with people for at least trying to do something positive.
That said, it does sound as though there are folks that do have some genuine issues with things that have happened in the past. I have not lived around Derby for some years now, it's only in the past couple of years that I have found this forum, so I do not know the detail of those complaints. So, I cannot comment on those.

What I would like to say though, is that if you would be interested in proactive action but you do have issues with RamsTrust, as it was or as it is, then you could either:
start another organization or join RamsTrust, take an active role and change it from within.

If he’s serious about still having a career, he could have used us to put himself in the shop window to move on to bigger and better things. Clubs are hardly queuing up for his services are they ?
18 thousand quid a month and it’s not quite what he fancies ? A good kick up the arse and a reality check is what he needs.
