The only other thing is the 'soft loan' from Mel - I think I saw it quoted at £140m. Everyone seems to have discounted that as a debt, so I'm guessing that it's unenforceable.

It's never referred to as 'shares', so I'd love to know how it has been excluded from the figures - has Mel voluntarily written it off?

Mad Mel’s over spending legacy, he has to write it off, all his mistake. I can get on board with him not wanting to carry on funding the club to some degree but him wanting any money for the stadium club etc  is a disgrace.

  2. My view is, deadline probably 17-00 for example. 15 minutes before 3 sets of proposals will be handed over to the admin. Tonight and tomorrow the admin along with legal teams will examine the bids, tomorrow afternoon they will engage with the preferred bidder and his respective legal team. Work it all through, present to EFL on Friday. EFL agree and preferred bidder announced.

    I disagree.

Can't believe you're throwing the towel in just because Reading have won a couple. It is very reactionary. There are 14 games left, we have a game in hand. Is it still over if we win tomorrow night and narrow the gap to 5 points again?

I know we are better than both Reading and Hull. And I honestly believe we can pull off the miracle.

I’ll still be there supporting and hoping for the miracle but as things stand I just don’t see us winning collecting 8 more points than them and certainly not 13 more than Hull.

I think we are capable of beating anyone in this league but what we are incapable of is stringing enough consistency together stay in the league. We go from beating Bournemouth and drawing against Fulham to loosing against Barnsley.
We don’t have the depth, currently we are without our top scorer for three game and Byrne is likely to get a two match ban soon if he gets another yellow.
We would need to win the next 3 for me to start believing. Because very quickly we could find ourselves 11-14 points adrift.

Nonsense. Win tomorrow and the gap is back to 5 points. We have two games in hand on Hull who look awful and are in free fall under their new manager. We are the best side out of the teams at the bottom and will pick up points at a faster rate. 14 games to play. Plenty of twists and turns yet.

Have a look through the fixtures work out where you think we’ll pick up points, I can up with 40 points and I thought I was generous to us. Reading have to win 4 games and hull would nee 3. Unfortunately I think we have left it too late.
If we look back on this season I’d say we under performed(compared to the rest of the season) in October which looks to be costing us.

Hull are in free fall but they are 13 points ahead, regardless of games in hand (we need to win those a games) I can’t see them not winning for 13 games!

Reading are soft at the back but they have Swift Hoilet Joao Ince and even though they have a soft defence they have goals in them (even when they were losing they were able score 3 goals and loose) I just don’t see enough teams I’m and around us to drag them into the fight.

Of course I could be wrong and we could go on a 8 game winning run.

Reading win 3, we win 6 then we stay up (if we have the same amount of draws)

6 is us doing above average 3 is them doing relatively poor.

Tomorrow is key, if we loose it’s really difficult without a monumental collapse again from reading.

6,200 left, so looks like around 22,800 Derby + say 500 for Millwall.

We're probably looking at around 24k by tomorrow

That’s a great attendance for a midweek game vs Millwall. Even in promotion campaigns we wouldn’t get that midweek.
I do think the pricing has helped tremendously this month, tickets are a fair price. So often under Morris I’d buy midweek tickets at around £37-40 each. Which is very excessive when you have to pay for more than one ticket.
£20-25 a ticket is spot on, and I do think it’s helping getting fans through the doors. I have often thought why don’t they drop the price to get more people in and buying things at the ground.

  7. He has the attributes, he has the desire. The only thing he needs is time to develop, if he was coming into a mid table side out of a relegation scrap I could see us playing him every week but as we are in a scrap, I’d go with the experience of Stearman, and to some extent Buchanan until the ends of the season.
Peterborough haven’t scored in 5 games let’s not forget, and yesterday would have done him a world of good. We just need him to phase his way until he becomes undroppable over time. I see him as one of the first names on the team sheet next season if he put in performances like that eachweek.
Unfortunately we just can’t afford any bedding in time for any of the players between now and the season end.

Well he bloody well should have done. That excuse is like a parent saying they aren't liable for the damage done by their tearaway teenager.

If it was an honorary membership I doubt he would have been privy to those discussions and doubt there will be a strike against his name at all. He wouldn’t have any power or role other than being an ambassador more than anything.

On one of the Q&A's didn't they say that all of the current proposed routes out see us escaping a further points penalty next season?

Any prospective buyer isn’t likely to buy us with the knowledge of another heavy points deduction. They will want to make sure the deal is just enough to buy us without. Otherwise they will likely be buying a league 2 club, which financially wouldn’t make sense.

Competition means he can go flat out whilst he's on the pitch as he has cover. Our depth at the moment means he has to pace himself a lot more. 3 games until we have Lawrence and Kazim back in the team and we can finally rotate forwards a bit.

I don’t think footballers actually think about that when they’re playing. If they did, I don’t think they would make it into professional football.

I didn't think he was particularly good today. He seems to be saving his hamstrings which if so, really detracts from his potential.

He came inside too often instead of staying wide. The other players kept telling him to keep wide.

Doesn’t really show his footballing brain today, he stayed wide when he should have been an option in the box and then he came inside when we needed him wide. He looked way too relaxed for me, typical of a player that doesn’t have much pressure on his position. I think he played better when he was fighting Joz for his shirt.

  12. There was a moment in the last minute of added time where he could have just headed it away for a 50/50 but instead he took it on his chest and took the pressure off us.
Whereas I liked what I saw, we can’t really afford to be blooding him, probably go with Stearman against a tougher opposition. Looks a great prospect for next season.

I don't see him as arguing. He's responding to professional and respectful E-mails written by David. I don't have an issue with that. (the answers he's giving is a different matter!)

Still don't understand why people are not more up in arms about the points penalty for failing P&S in the 20-21 year. The new rule we wouldn't fail it, and thats worth 1-2 points. to me - the 12 points for admin, the Boro Claim due to the cheating on P&S, the other years we failed - thats not going to change, but the 20-21 year it clearly does change it.

Every other club will now be compiling their P&S results using a different method to what Derby have done. This is the whole point - we got done for our Amortisation because it was different to every other club - but hey - this is now OK because it suits other clubs? This is 1-2 points we should be given back immediately!

    Amicably arguing let’s say.*

    The point really being is that really shouldn’t be handled by Rick Parry, the response should just be along the lines of;

Thank you for your email but I am not willing to enter into a discussion with a 3rd party about this closed case.

Him arguing back only makes it look further like us vs them/ Derby Vs EFL Narrative.

This is nothing against David fair play for approaching him. To me it’s just highlighted how dreadfully unprofessional the EFL are

  14. I find it very difficult to see what the admin are actually doing. They have had three credible bidders/interested parties since November/December. The legal claims have been there since the beginning. We are now into the beginning of Feb?! MM has even offered to get rid of the big obstacle that was in there way. After reading the q&a they (imo) alluded to more obstacles they can use to ramp up their remuneration.

They have said in the past they are willing to work night and day to get this through but so far all I can see is hot air and not a lot of substance. It is still my opinion that MM is still pulling the strings in this whole situation. Hence why Steve Gibson is so hell bent on suing us.

    I'd look at the options:

    1. Agree to buy the stadium
    2. Continue renting the stadium
    3. Groundshare with another club (Notts County?)
    4. Build a new stadium

Those first two options are the most appealing, so if agreeing a fee for the stadium was a problem, I'd stick to the "peppercorn rent"

£1.1m hardly peppercorn. MM is still pulling the strings. Needs highlighting and I believe   Gibson is doing so

There not though . Give Morris 20 million he pays his loan and the buyer gets a stadium .  No brainer

Owe HMRC 28 million.  Pay 12 up front, cover another 10 over 3 years in full settlement . No problem.

Have a wage bill that covers itself and  30 million coming in or even 17-20 on relegation .  Great.

HAVE TWO twits YOU MAY OR MAY NOT OWE 52 MILLION ON TOP

I personally think that they would disappear for less that £5m, Mel made the mess take that from what he’s owed he should do something to clean it up

If you believe what Alan Nixon was saying this morning, and what I’ve long suspected anyway, the £20m for the stadium clears the MSD loan against it. We’re not just paying Mel the money for his own gain.

He took the loan, and personally guaranteed it.
We as fans didn’t want him to sell the stadium, that has never sat right with any Derby fan.

This is clearly the main stumbling block to exiting admin, whilst other creditors are maybe getting 25p on the pound, MM is not taking the hit.

He took out the loan to carry on cheating the EFL, continue funding for players well beyond our means and ultimately decided he didn’t want to fund us any more.

Fine, but take a hit Mel, even if he dropped to £15m at least either the admin could pay off Boro and Wycombe or the new owners may take on the legal battle.

The stadium in my view is the key to deal, and MM/Admin are leading us a merry dance in blaming Boro and Wycombe
