Sure. I am not party to this exact deal. So, I am making some logical assumptions. But from what has been presented; panicking doesn’t make sense.

The only way for the UK to run a provenance check on money, is IF the money is already in the system. So that logically means- the mo why for the takeover has been sent by CK. And nobody sends the funds unless they intend to complete any deal.

I also dont care if Ashley or CK was the owner. My point was, Ashley had every chance to make an offer for the club. And he didn’t. Any deal, especially one as large as this one will give options to anyone that legitimately puts money forward. The only person to do that was CK.

If Ashley wanted to, he could ring up Q right now and say- I’ve got 50 mill sat in an escrow account. Let me know how we need it divided. But he hasn’t. And while being a PB for CK does allow for a wee bit of exclusivity…the nature of this deal (either it gets done or liquidation…means Q has the right to entertain any offer at any time. As long as it’s legitimate.

Which means, the only legitimate offer that has been made, is CKs offer. Doesn’t mean it will all go through (because deals fall apart all the time). But what I’m saying is,  everything  that has been reported, has not pointed to anything other then the deal continuing to move forward to resolution. ?‍♂️

Should have never entered into exclusivity.

The guy spending 20m won't lose anything. He's buying something. By choice.

Lazy answer by that guy. Probably sounded really cool and flippant in his head.

No it would be pretty unnerving. The money is being held and it’s in control of the authority’s until you can prove its legitimate. It can be held for months/years.

I do hope that the players have been paid and it's not another false dawn. We need some sort of clarity by Thursday at the latest (I didn't want to put 48 hrs!) Please CK let us know soon as I now have started chewing my toenails!!!

    Players have been paid.

  4. I’m not a big fan of Buchanan, I’d like to see him sold this year anyway, but EFL shouldn’t really be stopping us taking up options for the good of the club. As long as we get a fee I’m happy

The EFL will make us send him, pay for his wages for the next season and deducted us 12 points for upsetting the Germans.

Disappointing thing is if true, this sounds like he wants out. They wouldn’t pursue this if he is happy to stay at the club.

Genuinely  believe if Fozzy had played more at the end of the season we’d have had a a few more points. He gave us an out ball when that Buchanan can’t.

  5. All depends on what we can offer him. Man U might come in and offer him 15k a week and a 4 year deal.
we might be offering him half of that. If he does his cruciate next month his career is virtually over. It’s a brave step staying at Derby.

It is Sunday , so let’s pray “Team CK” has been grafting all week to sort this mess out ?. The Admin team will soon be working out our invoice. 8 months x 4 people x 40 hrs per week at what £100 an hr ? That’s going to hurt.

I have a feeling it will be a lot more than £100 an hour

Surely everyone is looking for a solution not looking how to have the upper bargaining hand when dealing with the sale of the stadium.

I think they are it they aren’t going to compromise themselves in the process. If I was in CKs position rn I wouldn’t buy the club without either owning the stadium or the council owning the stadium.

No. PPS would be repossessed by MSD, but it wouldn't cost Mel any more than he's already lost.

If he sold PPS for £10m, it'd cost him another £12m to pay off MSD - assuming he owes £22m and he has not put up any personal assets as extra security.

He’s apparently go some personal guarantees out on his other properties  too.

Sells ground for redevelopment if no team to use it.

Yeah I think the way to avoid this is the whole of Derby withhold their council tax payments if planning was approved on the pride park site. Council block any redevelopment rendering the site worthless.

Perhaps their could be some future legislation across the whole of the country to block any future planning in scenarios like this.
