    What a load of tosh.
The admins are aware of the claims and have dismissed them, hence them not being included in the statement of affairs.
So if the EFL do not think it is right to dismiss the claims then surely they must explain why.

I can’t believe that Rooney would abandon this group of players. When we first went into admin, he said something along the lines of…..what kind of person would I be to leave now?

Am I right in thinking that one guy slides in with a dangerous two-footed tackle and only succeeds in clearing out his mate? Poetry.

I don't really believe they do want change. They have been warned to improve their practice after every administration but they just continue to duck things up.
That's because it's a club of members protecting members' interests without any independent arbitration.
They can bang on about processes and LAPS as much as they want but at the end of the day these are appointed by them and if they don't like the results they just plough on until they find a panel that agrees with them.
It's all corrupt and needs calling out as such.

...Rooney had said previously he would have the final say on players leaving. Asked had that situation changed, he said: "Yes, of course. I said that based on the information I was given.
"In my press conference on Thursday, I was told Thursday morning that the preferred bidder would be in place that evening or the latest Friday morning...so it was a bit of a shock to get the news I got."
"I had to dust myself down first of all because that wasn't easy. I had to put myself in the right frame of mind to first of all speak to Phil Jagielka Friday morning, speak to the team, speak to the staff at the training ground, speak to the Academy staff and try and give them some information, try and give them what I could. Losing Shinnie Friday evening was very tough.
"It's hurtful for the fans and for the staff who have worked at this club for a long time. Listen, players will come and go, that is normal throughout any football club, but for the ones who are left behind it is a tough moment."
What did Rooney feel when he was informed of the situation? "Sad, angry, disappointed, frustrated. Have you seen the movie 'Inside Out', have you seen the little fireman, that is what I felt like, my head had blown up!" he said.
"It is hard, it is tough but this is where you have to show your character, show that fight in you and I have done that throughout my life.
"What has really impressed me is how the players have dealt with this, it has been incredible."

I feel like the wheels are now in motion.
I've seen more from footie journalists, business folk, and MPs this morning than I have throughout the entire process.
Let's just hope it actually does something.

How is it possible that the chairman of a governing body has not seen what it is that 2 of it's members are claiming against another of it's member clubs? Say that you can't comment on the exact content of those claims, but that you don't know what they are? So it's possible that between them Boro and Wycombe want £500000M, and they're not prepared to compromise. But Rick Parry, chairman of the EFL, the governing body, doesn't actually know what they're claiming! Incredible.

I'm only just catching up with posts from yesterday, but where I believe the EFL are taking a pedantic and erroneous line is that they are effectively saying that these claims must be treated as debts owed to Football Creditors simply because the claimants are football clubs. This is patent nonsense, because they don't arise from any kind of transaction between DCFC and the Claimants. It's not what the Football Creditors rules were designed for. I imagine HMRC think this is bollo too.
Bear in mind that every £ these two chancers are paid is a £ that genuine unsecured Creditors won't see. The EFL should not be placing them above genuine creditors. It's disgraceful.

That was a captain’s performance yesterday. Incredible. Finally after 5 years fans chanting his name. If that is his last game then what a way to go out. He’s been excellent this season and in the second half of his Derby career (last season was heavily interrupted by injury).
Hope he stays a bit longer and we can see more of that.

Think it's only a drop ball if the ball hits the ref. The EFL have confirmed that it's more than acceptable for the ref to block and/or hinder a player, providing it's a Derby one.

Not really a newspaper view, but my best mate a Blades fan openly conceded the best team won; was very impressed with the solidarity between fans and team. He’s even signed our petition (sending the piggies down deserved it apparently ?).

Starting a petition on the government website would theoretically get this debated in Parliament (subject to enough signatures) but ultimately I am not sure that would help much.

In my opinion, the key is to get the details of this situation into the mainstream media. As outraged as we Derby fans all are (rightly so) I am equally as astounded that this just doesn’t seem to register at all in the papers or on the main sports outlets. Why is no one talking about the claims from Boro and Wycombe? And the clear conflict of interest with Steve Gibson sat on the board of the EFL?
if this petition helps get that conversation started, we should all get bang behind it. Signed. Shared.
