SaffyRam reacted to Sparkle in The Key to Problem
In the whole British business world a buyer can bring a business out of administration - except it seems in the EFL - I do think the government needs to take a grip on this

Unfortunately 99.9 % of opposition fans have no idea how we got to this position but they now know that we have produced half a miracle - everyone loves a underdog that’s being bullied we just need them to turn on the EFL and very quickly
we also need them to turn on the two parasite clubs

SaffyRam reacted to Ramarena in Steve Gibson trying to liquidate Derby
I think it helps to look at the punishments we’ve received from the EFL
- We’ve been under embargo for around two years.
- We’ve had 21 points deducted.
- We’re potentially on the verge of liquidation, despite having 3 buyers waiting in the wings.
- We’ve had a fresh embargo this window.
- We are now selling and releasing players for pittance.
And still they refuse to remove theIr boot from our clubs throat.
What’s next?

That’s fine, except they seem to be suggesting that their internal rules are more important than UK insolvency legislation. And they are preventing us from exiting admin and paying creditors, including HMRC. I think they’re asking for trouble and I hope they get it.

I have had another Parry reply. Fair play to him but he conveniently ignores every direct question I ask which could be simply answered with a yes or no. I have sent another. Maybe he’ll have a look this evening. Unfortunately he missed MOTD last night as he was replying to lots of emails. Maybe he’ll miss MOTD 2 if we keep up the pressure. The tide is turning.
I know RamsTrust meet with the administrators but does anyone have email addresses for the other groups that do - BAWT is it and Punjabi Rams I think - so I can impart some information to them. Twitter is no good to me, it’s full of Gibsons.
Keep up the pressure everyone. Write to your MP, write to the EFL (maybe Trevor Birch is feeling left out), maybe ring them or forward the petition to people to sign. Now is not the time to sit idly by. Now is the time for action.

We’re Derby County - we’ll fight to the end.

I agree, but that appears to be what they are saying.
They could be saying to the administrators "Trust us, we're on your side in this" but then we're back to square one. Would you trust the EFL to stick to their word? I know I wouldn't.

And when the issue came up in the case of Inland Revenue v Wimbledon, who was the administrator for Wimbledon, but Mr Andrew Hosking (then at Grant Thornton). Do EFL not think he understands the issues here? And does the EFL not realise how it would look if Boro's ambulance chasing claims jumps ahead of HMRC in the creditor queue? Or even cause liquidation meaning HMRC gets nothing?

I think our club is rightly wary that any process instigated by the EFL will be fair and impartial, Gboro. We haven't fared very well with their arbitration to date, in fairness.

SaffyRam reacted to SecretDave in A call to action
I contacted Central News about the situation on Friday. They have just emailed me back and have said they're aware of the situation and are planning on covering the story tomorrow. They might be phoning me if they do. Hopefully from there, we can get this national.

I bought my son a ticket yesterday, he’s not been in 2 years due to work, that’s a kind of crowd funding ?

But that isn't allowed to be done during admin is it ? They cant pursue their claims during admin it's against the insolvency rules. Plus it could take months. We need cash from the buyer now, even if it's only a deposit.

I wondered about that? I’m still not aware that they have actually started arbitration or filed legal papers - so there’s no official claim, even now? They may have made a ‘claim’ (ie talked about the possibility of seeking compensation) before administration, but that’s not actionable.
If they were due money, they would have been on the creditors list from November, and when they weren’t, they should have kicked up a stink about it - except they couldn’t because … they have made an official claim.

Apologies if posted already, but Niall Horan just retweeted the link. Didn't expect it taking us to need the signatures of teenage girls to potentially save our football club, but there we go.

SaffyRam reacted to Gee SCREAMER !! in Wayne Rooney
The way the media and every hack have immediately started hammering the Rooney to Everton story within minutes, quite frankly, makes me want to vomit. Where have the bankers been for 6 months when there was a real story.

SaffyRam reacted to PistoldPete in The Administration Thread
They are concerned we may not complete our fixtures. yet not allowing us to sign or even re-sign players.. and forcing us to sell players at giveaway prices . So we won't have enough fit players left to play games anyway.
-
SaffyRam reacted to ollycutts1982 in Wayne Rooney
If Rooney goes get Warnock in. He’d probably work for free if it means he gets the chance to keep us up and stick 2 fingers up at Gibson. That would definitely finish the pube headed wobble gob off.

SaffyRam reacted to Ramtastic ones in The Administration Thread
Just lodged these questions with the EFL.
"I have some questions I would like answers to/an understanding of the efl's view on.
1. Doesn't the action being taken by 'Boro and Wycombe go against an EFL directive from 2019, stating clubs should not litigate against each other?
2. How are 'Boro and Wycombe's claims viewed as a debt by the EFL when they are simply that, a claim, that has not been through the court process?
3. How are Derby meant to resolve a claim against them when the administrative law states that such processes are not to commence or continue whilst a company is in administration?"

He doesn’t know what the claim is?
This is getting ridiculous.
