Well done to the players the staff and the supporters today

Before the game I actually was tearing up looking around

Anyway let’s give some teams a football lesson this season we all know we will be in the third division next season if we are here at all.

Don't agree with the we're already down narrative at all, we need to get about 60 points and if we don't have to sell everyone good that is achievable for sure.

The biggest risk is the club won't be able to fulfill its fixtures.  Assets will be sold and we won't be able to a team out . Admin with this many games to play is insanity.

As for staying up, that's finished. No hope. Staying in business is the worry.

We could definitely stay up, you seriously think being good enough to finish 13th - 14th is an impossibility with our squad because I don't? We will need 57-61 points which is an average midtable finish.

Even if we get another 9 points added on it will be very hard but not impossible if we can add a striker in January +Bielik has an impact like last season.

Imagine the scenes if we got a 21 point deduction and stayed up. Absolute pipe dream but it would be the single funniest thing to ever happen on a football pitch.

Not a pipe dream, the 68 points we would need is feasible. We were poo for large periods in Cocu's first season and finished just under that, with Bielik to come back it is not like it would be a miracle if we could effectively finish about 8th without the points taken off.

  4. I thought Roos was terrible against Birmingham but he has redeemed himself tonight, at the place I was watching the game in in town I was sat in front of a neutral viewer who'd not seen Roos play before and he couldn't believe how poor his distribution and general keeping was. Tonight even though I only listened, it was obvious he had one of his best games for us.

Theres no doubt that the players are playing for Rooney. There's also no doubt the fans are behind Rooney, every game this season has had, "he goes by the name of Wayne Rooney", echoing around the stadiums, home and away.

    Keep the faith, COYR ?

The most vocal fans at games  mainly the South standers and regulars at away games support him but as seen on here there is probably quite a few doubters.

  6. Williams just gave a great interview on Radio Derby, what stood out was how much he liked playing under Rooney. When he was  asked about playing for him he said "what a guy" and mentioned how down to earth he is, so Rooney is probably proving to be popular with the players even if he isn't the most popular with all the fans.

I feel like if we carry on putting in defensive performances like that and pick up the odd win and manage to stay around midtable, Rooney will start to win over some doubters though even though towards the end of last season was shocking.

  7. Think we will get a beating tbh, we will play such a young lineup like the Salford one that even with their poor start unless they don't take it seriously which I doubt, I can't see us getting anything.

Probably should atleast play Jagielka, Davies and Shinnie for some experience and solidity to the side. We have an international break soon so Davies and Jagielka can rest then.

I'm not too bothered about the league Cup but still want us to win and hope we play atleast 3 or 4 first XI players.

If three points penalty was the end of things now, no more chance for the EFL to have us for our accounts or late submission I'd take it all day.

Think we have all acted a little entitled about the fight with the EFL and we're lucky we come out of this still in the championship. Three points at this stage of the season is more than enough time to prepare and make up ground.

At the end of the day it will probably be the difference between finishing 5th and 6th so there's no point crying over split milk.

  9. Hopefully Lawrence doesn't come straight back in, we played well last night and if he comes back in I can't see us playing as well. The Lawrence we had under Rowett and Lampard seems to be long gone, if he can play like he used to he'd be an asset but everytime I watch him play he does 5 bad things for every decent bit of play and loses the ball too much.

With him being Captain I think if he's fit Sibley drops to the bench unfortunately.

Can we please retire the Collymore song forever? I was in nappies when he played for Forest and barely in school when during his short-lived Leicester career, and I can't imagine many of the fans there even really know who he is.

I promise you, nobody cares about Collymore in 2021. Please drop it

I prefer to the same tune the Alex Pearce chant we had a few years back.
