He should take the knee, no reason not to

I don't want to offend people so I will put it simply :

1.Taking the knee is a physical symbol of deference and submission.

    2. BLM is political

3.BLM does not support all black people it supports black people who feel marginalised,  the black power stance is more suitable for someone who has a strong sense of agency and pride.

Not saying nobody should do it, but it's not for everyone and it wouldn't be for me either.  I support him doing whatever he wants nobody should be forced to do anything as thats is authoritarian.

I'd trust McClaren to keep us up easy. He'd be getting us prepared for play off contention next season. I don't think he'd make took many changes either. With a decent budget he'd get us a forward or two and hopefully convince Will Hughes to come back.

Some people are looking at our current situation and it's blurring what is necessary.

Holmes is too injury prone and not effective enough. A replacement is needed. Rooney needs replacing. We will also be looking to replace/ find replacements for Martin (still), Waghorn and Marriott.

I'd trust McClaren to replace these players and reckon two of them would be Hughes and Ivan Toney.

Ivan Toney? Probably have more chance of signing Luca Toni Tbh.

Yes everyone has an opinion. Always a good idea to have some evidence to back it up though.

It's sometimes hard to have evidence for things not based of a cause and effect type relationship or something clear as day, sometimes premonition or common sense beats science,  I had a feeling about Cocu being bad based upon what I could see in front of my eyes  very early on and it turned out correct.

I get that Southgate has made some questionable decisions of late, but it's ludicrous to call for him to be sacked IMO.

Manager shouldn't be judged on Nations League performances; they should be judged on major tournaments. In our last major tournament, we got to a World Cup Semi Final (yes, we were set piece merchants, and yes we lost when we came up against top opposition, but it was still a relatively successful tournament).

He deserves a crack at the Euros, at least.

I think he deserves a crack but honestly think its borderline a waste of time if he keeps making similar decisions, beating lower ranked sides is not a big achievement yes it was great at the time but for Southgate to do a decent job we have to beat the good teams. We could have post man pat as manager and I'd expect us to beat most sides as entitled as that sounds.

Yes but it doesn't stop you.

You are standing by an opinion. Not a fact.

How did we do with elite Cappello by the way?

Capello didn't have the personality you need the combination of the two to be a top manager at international level. Capello was fantastic in Italy but managing England is different. I'm an allowed an opinion, I'm not forcing it on anyone. Footballs like having an opinion on Art or Film you might think something or someone is rubbish and someone has the opposite view but neither can be completely wrong unless you have a lunatic style opinion such as Tony Pulis should be the new Barcelona manager and Derby should look to appoint Robbie Savage.

So you would have started with Sancho, Keane and Winks who all played 90 minutes 3 days earlier? and a 17 year old who has started around 3 games at the top level ahead of Mount. I must say I have to question those selections.

    How would you motivate them?

I didn't realise he wasn't a tactician either. What evidence have you got of this?

For a centre back you should be able to play every few days because you don't do the intense running, Winks possibly could be replaced by someone else depending on his fitness and as for Sancho, you start your best players then you can always sub them off with 20-25 minutes to go to avoid injury or fatigue.  As  for Bellingham he has more talent than Mount as a box to box CM no matter how many games he has played, he's strong, good in the tackle and a proper midfielder who should be an elite midfielder if he fulfills his promise that's the sort of player you give game time to so they develop even quicker Mount is obviously quality but he's not a CM in my eyes he's a 10, Bellingham could do a job even at fullback with his range of skills. Hard for me to say Southgate is wrong without watching training I will admit because Bellingham could be playing badly in training and Rice could be playing out his skin, but for me going forward Dier and Rice should not be playing and especially not in the same team.

Maybe I'm wrong about the motivation side of things as it's just a preconceived idea of him, I do stand by the fact I'm not convinced with him tactically and would prefer an elite manager like an Ancelotti even if they are not English.

    So no evidence. Fair enough.

What team would you have picked last night?

Well the players don't seem to find him much of a motivator to be honest, he isn't a tactician and it is questionable if he's a top man manager just seems an FA spokesperson who speaks a good game but that doesn't translate to the actual reality. Also abit similar to Rowett, says alot but its questionable if its implemented.

Would go for a 4 man defence with

                     Pope

    Walker Keane Mings Chilwell

                   Henderson

          Bellingham Winks

    Sancho    Kane   Grealish

Out of interest, how many managers have not had fans questioning their team selection?   Also I would add, what evidence do you have to prove he isn't an inspirational leader?

Alot do but some have extremely questionable team selections where as others only have occasional questioning. Not so much clear evidence but a hunch based upon his relaxed demeanour and personality with him also being known as a quiet and reserved type as a player. Sometimes when your talking to not the brightest bunch you don't need an articulate communicator like Cocu also seems you need more strong leadership Ferguson style. If we were 3-0 down in a tournament I don't think we could turn it around, maybe under a stronger more authoritative character we could but that's just my opinion.

  9. Southgate is the Phillip Cocu of international football lets be honest. Thinks about the opposition more than going for games, questionable team selection, seems a gentleman but also not a real inspirational leader and is not suitable for the job all in all.

Current US debt is 27 Trillion think it’s more important to look after Mother Earth before the money runs out.

Money doesn't run out, just the debt keeps getting bigger and bigger and with that future generations get shafted more and more. Money is near enough virtual with the complete delinquency of how it is printed and devalued and countries and people constantly spend beyond their means.

Jonathon Stead Is 37 now, blimey seems like an eternity since he played for us, just checked only 17 times and three goals, thought it was a lot more than that

Wouldn't surprise me if he comes out of a helicopter at Pride Park on Friday to be unveiled as our replacement for Chris Martin.

Would that be the same Bielik who’s reckless tackle deprived us of his services for so long ? ?

Yes, but on the whole he doesn't make the stupid fouls Johnson made still a weakness of Bielik though. On the Ball Bielik is better and he has the potential to be way better. We probably used Johnson wrong because he's not a holder he's a number 8 and we tried him at CDM and on the left wing under Rowett.

  13. Good for him but I wouldn't want him here, he doesn't suit our style, has a donkey touch and makes reckless tackles that can cost you (see first goal in playoff final where he dives in stupidly). Would take Bielik over him once he gets back to fitness, as he can control a ball well and has a good football brain. Like most players that were poor in half their games for us, people can only remember their better performances when they leave and they suddenly become better than anyone we have.

When he plays for England, I like Harry Maguire.

When he plays for Man U, I think Harry Maguire is a useless, slab-headed bell-whiff.

That's because the standard of opponent at international level is on the whole piss poor, whereas in the Premier league every team in the league has good strikers with alot of very fast  strikers.

Interesting comments after the game with Keane vs Klopp. It’s only a tiny thing that’ll soon be forgotten about but have to say I read the situation a little differently than what I’ve seen online, because I thought Klopp showed himself up a little bit and if I’m being cynical about it I’d say that was Keanes intention (taking one from Sir Alex’s rule book)

Now if Prem managers started to realise that Klopp can be rattled and tried to upset him his side more, rather than playing into their hands, then I think they’d drop more points.

Disgree,  don't think Klopp would let mind game baalocks get the better of him he is a very smart guy, not like Keegan who got wound up about nonsense tactics from Fergie. Can see Liverpool winning the league by atleast 10 points as there is noone near them.

  16. I find Pes 20 on the Demo awful online, its weird becuase the graphics are great and certain things like the way the players receive the ball is better than Fifa and the passing has less assistance which is good but running down the wings and crossing and doing cut backs is far too overpowered , keepers cant save 1vs1s , and there are loads of  stupid things that happen that lead to goals,. I might just be that I am so used to Fifa as it is a game I have played a lot for years, but even though Fifa 19 was the worst Fifa I ever played I would still rather play that than the Pes demo. Offline It was decent but that is becuase unless you put it on a hard difficulty the AI are awful and even then they are predictable, so it was nice and causal but it would quickly get boring. Fifa 20 is supposed to be a lot better than 19 but I will believe that when I actually play it.

I've joined. Looking forward to not bothering after 10 games.

That happened after about 2 games a few years ago when I last did it, I'm thinking of giving it another go and lasting a bit longer this time.
