Absolutely first priority after the deal is signed and sealed is getting Wayne to sign a new contract, everything else falls into place after.
Wayne signing a new deal is the first domino, then players start signing up for another season or 2 and then fans buy season tickets in the thousands.

The EFL to Quantuma this evening.

Yes, we can stay in admin for a considerable time longer but they'll be getting very twitchy about another delay.  This time next week were actively trying to push out of contract players out the door to save a months wages and get them signed elsewhere.  Knight, Bird, Bielik, Sibley etc openly up for auction to the highest bidder to provide funds for a rock bottom wage bill of freebies in an effort to start the season.  Season ticket money into the administrators account for the continue doing crap all fund.
You can't give exclusivity to a bloke who refers to the owner of the ground as a F***job and expect it to go well, especially as he seems unwilling to actually pay rent on it.  Months ago I said on here that Mels accord with Gibson would be tied in with the club purchase and not funded externally and it appears that's so.  Months ago I said he would want back rent tied into any purchase and once again it transpires.  If I can see that from a million miles away, why can't they have anticipated this.  Were talking about a 5 million shift in asking price plus months more of their fees.
    This is a s*it show.

This looks likely now, hoping Ashley is interested. It seems as if he would take the extra points deduction hit, Rooney and most of the players will go and we'd spend next year under Steve Bruce desperately fighting to keep afloat in League One.
Despite the positive talk, it's never seemed as if Kirchner has had the money. And running a football club is a very expensive business.
I'd be happy to wake up to good news and be proved wrong, but I'd also be surprised.

Would it be good if Mike Ashley bought the stadium off MM and then went into joint ownership with Kirchner with the club. Or have i drunk too much beer.

Hi Carl, you are correct - it's not a football debt. But it is different because they are a secured creditor. with a fixed charge over the stadium (i.e.  if DCFC defaults, then they own the. stadium) exactly as you say.
MSD have no need to negotiate, or to lease the stadium, they'd simply sell it - either to developers or to whoever wants to buy it. Not their problem.
So the negotiation has to be with Mel to see how much more £££ he is willing to lose.  He holds all the cards right now because he doesn't need to do anything.
I'm still thinking that Mike Ashley will do a deal with Mel. It's quite likely in my opinion that he has already.  He ain't stupid.

Here are some facts which might explain the impasse:
The MSD debt is said to be around £23m.  The debt is OWED by DCFC (not by Mel Morris) but is secured against the Stadium. If MSD calls in the debt, then DCFC has to pay it, otherwise MSD will take the deeds to the stadium and will presumably sell to the highest bidder. DCFC has no means to pay the MSD debt. DCFC or KC have no means to buy the stadium This means that whoever OWNS the stadium, ultimately is responsible for the MSD Debt.
I suspect MM wants to sell the ground, along with the MSD charge against it, for, say £20-23m.
This again means that the MSD debt doesn't get paid, and whoever then owns the stadium, is responsible for any default in debt repayments.
So I think what KC is saying is, MEL: Sell the stadium AND use the money to repay the debt to MSD.
And MEL is saying "Nope. The £20m debt is DCFC's debt. I've already lost £200m. So.... deal with it. That's what the administrators were called in for!!!
All in all, there are only 2 possible outcomes:
Mel caves and GIVES us back the stadium, or somebody with loads of cash buys the stadium....and the club....
Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you...... MIKE ASHLEY!
