PistoldPete got a reaction from Reggie Greenwood in World T20 2022
Amazing. Why was Hales left out for so long? He’s from Notts don’t they know everyone in Nottingham does drugs?

The title of this thread finishes with 'yeah completed it mate', but thanks to these continued restrictions, we not going to have 'completed it', until we can trade normally again. The EFL, in effect relegated us and are now doing their best to ensure that we don't get promoted for at least 2 years.
What could this mean in the future? Another team going into administration will be looking for a buyer, who will know that after saving that club, they will have their trading severely restricted for the first 2 years of their ownership. Only rich fans, like DC, will be interested in taking that on.
The EFL should be trying to help their members not destroy them. They hammered Wigan after they became a victim of fraud and by not allowing contracts to be renewed at Derby, they reduced the value of the club and so reduced the amount of money being paid to creditors and now by continuing punishment through to the new owners, are further reducing the value of the club.
They are not fit for purpose.

Fozzy’s height is the thing especially when playing with Cashin. Maybe with Stearman not such an issue.

I feel like the BBC does a reasonable job in difficult circumstances. With a remit to cover areas not commercially viable, they output coverage of local news, minority groups, non English coverage of regional and small uk nations, educational output, children's TV, specialist output like scientific programs, and more.
Those people who suggest advert driven programming, expect more like ITV than BBC. Dreadful output driven by audience share. More love island, because vacuous idiots are cheap. Less niche output, more mainstream stuff.
As for the overpaying for talking heads, that's the market they operate in. As was mentioned elsewhere, the other channels pay far more for the on screen talent such as Ant and Dec. You might object to MacEnroe being paid handsomely, but few people can offer his kind of insight.
I'm sure the BBC waste money but the examples aren't great. Sending someone to Wimbledon from Derby? Could cost some petrol and a night in a Premier Inn. Hardly earth shattering.
I like the BBC, despite their centrist bias.

Phew. Too man players going for big hits when they didn't need to.

Quite the opposite. The fact that people who could have survived are dying due to NHS shortcomings is plenty to see and needs to be addressed.

PistoldPete got a reaction from Wolfie in The coronabrexit thread. I mean, coronavirus thread
We have already done this literally to death .. there are plenty of articles about this. Excess deaths have been at just over 1,000 per week for last five months… so about 22k. Around half of those have been COVID. Around 3,000 due to heatwave.
The remainder due to NHS not coping with backlog from Covid and generally short of key staff.

Why can’t they cut Gary linekers wages that would provide a lot of money for local radio. Shocking move by the BBC.
