In that interview Warne sounded like he’s shifting blame onto the players. “I’m not the one who gives a penalty away or misses a sitter in the last minute”. then has a pop about ‘the modern world’ making the buck stop with the manager… because managers never got sacked in the 1980s

Is he the one who takes off a defender to 'protect a knee' with 4 minutes of a game remaining and blows 2 points  but leaves our only fit striker to run around with an unprotected knee for 40 mins next match.  In the old days he'd be jabbing him with cortisone for 2 months.  Bloody modern world management.

I've just seen him leaving Moor Farm this afternoon

The actual Moor Farm, or another one somewhere in the Peaks with the same name where the farmers set the dogs on him for nicking eggs and he's not signing for anyone till the stitches in his arse cheek have healed.

4 weeks, maybe 8, could be signed for the playoffs, unless he has Rabies and then it's the summer.

Exactly, it's not enough that we scored with our second, third and fourth clear chances, which would normally take 11 of these and happens 5% of the time, we were due to score even more! Just about every time we get near it shall be a goal (whilst at the same time our opponents miss all of theirs). Are you for real or just trolling everyone?

I'm saying that your stat bothering is more painful than VAR.  Crack on though, someone might be interested..

I meant double figures for the clear ones, all in they were on double figures too. As you said we had 5 or 6 big chances (3 goals Collins M-L, Barks not an easy finish imo), they had 4 as big but twice as many 'non-bold' ones. The 3' M-L one was not a chance at all. Us edging it but not by much with the possible caveat it was game over on 62'.

A different site gave 1.24-1.24 for the xG - also xG 1.27-0.98 is not enough for a win, and xG does not add anything if you've watched the actual game.

I was thinking earlier the crowd could have a huge part to play on Saturday, not that it doesn’t normally, but against a side known for their strong arm approach I think backing the lads throughout AND applying pressure if and when the ref inevitably doesn’t protect our players will be even more necessary

I don't think the players do this enough themselves.  Roll around a bit more to get a couple of early yellows, then a bit of handbags and some ref screaming in a pack of 4 for the next foul can be vital.  The refs are that bad you have too force your own decision in this league.  Been on the end of far too many awful reds dodgy penos and undeserved bookings to not play the game over the last 3rd of the season.

Extremely accurate on this occasion which doesn't happen every day. 4 chances to 5, relatively even game, good away performance, joke of a scoreline.

We'd probably have won that by more if we'd stepped it up rather than soak it up for 20 minutes so your probably correct. They had two chances.  One from not clearing properly that they hit a post with and one that a pissed up non league 50 yr old with blinkers on would have put away.  As we scored the chances we had  and tested them on other occasions we both scored more and defended better.  That's a deserved win.

Hurrah! I think the admins need to take a bit of a grip as the forum is being ruined by a minority.

Hold on. you spent last night constantly shouting take that moaners.

If you were chatting with a stranger in a pub and had a disagreement, normally cordial, about tactics, managers etc of Derby County and we won 3-0 and you went up to that person on a regular basis screaming take that moaner, you'd certainly get a response.

We all do it, i have, but I won't then polish my halo whilst trying to hide the Devils tail. Your a perpetrator of our own misery.

Warne was referring to Cashin in terms of heads turned.

He has also praised Bird consistently and this week also pointed out he covers more ground than other players.

I'm slightly disappointed that you can't see that playing in a 3 with someone who also covers a lot of ground isn't a major factor.

I'm taking it from Warnes interview after he secured his move.

    Where have I criticised Hourihane?

He just doesn't run much and whoever plays with him in a 2 has to run his b******* off.

In a 3 Bird can express himself more. Simple as that.

Of course your criticising just in a backhanded way.  I couldn't care if you did. According to our manager Bird hasn't been playing as he can as his head was on impressing potential suitors and now he'll have more freedom to play.  He wasn't working for the team and was pedestrian at best on occasion looking like he'd been on a 3 day foam party bender.  If he's playing better now fabulous, he wasn't for the first two thirds of the season.  Nowt to do with Hourihane or having to work his b******* off.  If that was his mandate he was failing grimly till 4 games ago.

Yeah- good way to describe it 👍👏

Just wish Pompey and Bolton would stop winning… a close third placed finish will be a heartbreaker…

Gotta 100% beat Bolton at home and not lose to Pompey away…

Close as 91/92 when Middlesbrough scored a last minute goal to put us in the playoffs.  Paul Wilkinson the man who told Shoot magazine his pet hate was violence in society, next question he declared his favourite film was Rambo. Brilliant

    Pinched from the Exeter forum.

I'm normally annoyed when we lose or get hammered but not today. Derby are a level above. They'll do really well next year in the championship. We just cannot compete. I assume players like Hourihane will be on more £ a week than our entire squad put together.

Not sure this ones that accurate

We've been excellent. The difference between mid table and top of the league. Crappy individual errors.

I'd sub CBT for Thommo ...who looks off it or else Thommo for Hourihane. We will need energy in the middle of the park

I think he had more of the ball in 10 minutes at Reading.  He's not coming off the line to pick it up at all.  Fullback has slippers on and a newspaper.  All a bit weird .  If he's not fit, take him off.

Yes, me too! and Luton Town also.

They get over 100 million a year in the top flight so gate revenue is a fart in a teacup.  Not so much after a year or two outside it.  They had about 90 million quid in players and over 70 million on the wages last time .  If they'd have stayed down  for 3 years they'd have been buggered.

Why would it be put out multiple times in the public domain if there isn't any truth in it?

For years, even before administration, the club has been crying out to be run sustainably and fornus to cut our cloth accordingly. The catastrophic events leading to administration forced that upon us.

The days of big money signings, stupid wages, bloated squads and contracts weighing us down are long gone. Maybe I am on my own in this but I do not miss this element for one minute and hope we will create a club to be proud of in the knowledge thst players arent here for a paycheck.

Is that where he's gone. Sounds like we have more than one as well.
