Last September I was playing football with my grandson,and hurt my knee. I didn’t bother the doctors because the knee gradually returned to near normal, but still quite painful at times. It was such a time I winced, and my wife “advised “ me to see the doctor,which I duly attended, knee examination, all OK, I asked for a PSA (having seen the information at Pride Park) check which he duly gave me the paperwork. The test came back 7.1, I’m over 70 so 6.5 is regarded as normal. I was dispatched to the Derby Royal, had the anal examination, ( for the first time) small lump found. In five weeks I’ve had a MRI scan,my prostrate biopsy done, and a QT scan,and I’m now on a hormone treatment plan. It appears they’ve caught the tumour early, and the prognosis is good, they say it will be eliminated. You do lose your dignity at times, but not going through that door and having the exam you could lose a lot more.
A shout out to the doctors and nurses at the Derby Royal, they have been absolutely terrific, informative, and very understanding, and caring.

Just finished 'Wednesday' on Netflix - a couple of other geezers have mentioned it on this thread...
Really enjoyed it! a bit darker & not so campy as The Addams Family but Focusing on its (imo) principal & most interesting character.
As said before 'park your brain' - well worth a watch!

Talking to other fans, I think it’s fair to say Frank and most of the Chelsea players from that era are seen a bit marmite. Great players, maybe a bit under rated in truth, but they all had bit of arrogance but not enough character to get away with it (aside Drogba maybe).
I think also if you look at Terry and Lampard especially, their attitudes have always been ‘nothing else matters but Chelsea’ and it’s always followed them around. Did England matter as much, and how much did that Chelsea clique disrupt the ‘golden generation’? No matter what job he gets now, like with Derby and Everton, it’s about proving he’s good enough for the one job he wants.
From a Derby perspective, I think there’s a few things to consider. Firstly in hindsight, he was a bad appointment. Not from the memories of the season itself, they take some beating, but MM needed promotion that season to keep away any FFP judgements from the EFL (even just in the short term) and to rebalance his own chequebook. To do this he appointed a rookie manager, one with contacts but still a rookie, and that was because Harry Redknapp got hold of Morris’ ear at the opportune time. The other thing is once his season was over then what would’ve happened if he stayed? Presumably MM would’ve started making cutbacks, so that chequebook wouldn’t stretch as far. It’s hard to say, but we couldn’t invest to improve what we had in Lampard’s season so I think it would have been more of a slog without those moments of brilliance. 
Secondly, I don’t think Lampard really took to the area and fans, unlike Jody Morris who did. That’s fine, some players and managers come here and embrace it and others don’t, but I don’t think he envisioned calling Derby home for a few seasons to learn his trade. It’s similar to my point about the Chelsea players I guess, but living here isn’t that big city lifestyle that you have in that London and if you’re a Londoner you probably like it down there. I don’t get it personally, but each to their own.

We've been through some tough times, when you put all the horrendous Covid stuff alongside the financial firestorm of the Morris era together we are lucky to have a club left to support.
But we have a fantastic club to support, we still have our wonderful, stressful, beautiful club to support.
We are averaging 26,000 in the third division. We are selling out most away games, we are Derby.
I love this football club, I love everything about DCFC. I love the history, I love people like @loweman2 doing all the stuff about shirts, @Inverurie Ram with his Rams flag thread, 
Whatever happens this season, whether we make the play offs or even sneak into the autos, it doesn't really matter. 
Being part of the DCFC family is what matters.  We are Derby. Enjoy every game you go to and get behind the team.
