I know that. Warne wasn't impressed with our performance either, you want to tell him we won? Although I think he knows.

I think someone needs to do a statistical analysis of bobble hatted vs non-bobble hatted performance. I mean, what if the answer isn't 5 at the back or the make up of the squad but supergluing the sodding thing back on his head because that was the bit with good ideas.

Probably depends what the child was shouting and is up to the parent to parent their child as they wish as they have to deal with consequences of what is shouted at football in other instances.
You can use what lyrics you like B4 but you need to stop berating fans who dont like using certain words like the f word. I dont use that word ever in life (except odd times alone in car at Cambridge cyclists). But I am not a prude or a killjoy or someone who wants the stadium quiet or minds others using it.
I love the humour and passion of football fans - I would put it right up there as something that makes me proud to be a Brit. Nothing quite like hearing 21 points song or fight to the end THAT season but I chose to swap the f word. We've always had a "what you hear at football stays at football" with our boys and never had a problem. Loved exchanging cheeky smiles with my boys when they heard something "rude". Which means I actually love the Collymore song when many dont as will never forget look on my sons' faces when first heard it at full pelt.
But all this comes from comments that more may sing if not every chant is expletive laden. Some may never sing which I dont get but its their choice - they may have such turmoil and angst inside after watching us for years that they can no longer sing - who knows.
But please can you perhaps sometimes listen to others views on this esp where children are involved.

I really enjoyed today, so I am coming to the conclusion that the result is everything!
Can't put my finger on why, but the sun shone, the locals were lovely,  James Collins worked so hard and therefore deserved his two goals.
Saw lots of folks I knew, and also the players get off the bus and get back on the bus, they were honest and friendly. Whatever has happened for Vickers seems to have brought them together. I hope he's okay.
Good to see players improving their match fitness and I was pleased Carlisle had a good go at us because to come out of that with a clean sheet can only help with the defence's confidence. They all played well, particularly Nelson and Nyambe.  One smart Alec asked Joe after the match about the one that went through him and hit the bar and his response was "well, I saved it!"
Our fans were great and seemed to sing louder to keep the team going until Warne put some legs on to tip the game our way (you could have done it a bit earlier, though, Paul!)
Shout out of the day to the fan who came up the road after the game, grinning at us in our Derby shirts. I thought it strange as he had a Carlisle top on, but he lifted it up to reveal a Derby shirt underneath, saying it was the only way he could get it to the game! I do hope he posts on here because it was genius!

Hmmmm.... a mixed bag again today. Happy with the 3 points and clean sheet.
I think we need bodies back in midfield which is where we struggle... Embleton now injured again, Tommo out, Bird out, Hourihane out. Both Sibley and NML had poor games for me today and also Waggy struggled to get into the game. So i thought midfield is where we weren't quite right again. But as the saying goes "success breeds success" .. .so hopefully our season will kick on.... but as I said I feel we need more from a depleted midfield.
I've got to say that whilst I agree we're not playing brilliantly I don't get all the negativity on this board...

Ah, but my summary may include my unconscious bias, ya know in favour of a more jolly and happy clapping world. I wouldn’t want you to assume anything as it could well make a donkey out of the pair of us, and I’m sure you wouldn’t want to be making assumptions based on your own bias either. Give it a listen and draw your own conclusions, they may well match the pre-determined ones you seem to have come to.

Here’s Warne’s post match interview with the club. He talks about performances and results in the first 2 mins for those who don’t like to listen to him.
He makes similar comments to what he said on the radio, he wants better performance but ultimately if we win that’s what matters.
As I understand this Warne is saying what everyone on here keeps debating. He talks about not using the ball well enough, he says there were too many unforced errors, he says he wants and believes there will be better performances and that ultimately results matter.
Interestingly he talks about it being a tough week (Vickers related?) and he said in his pre match interview he felt something in training hadn’t been right.

I’m also in the camp of winning actually improves performances. Confidence and familiarity are big in a team. String the wins together and the performances will improve.

No wobbly mate and for the record, the 'happy clappers' are just as bad. There is a core of posters on here who recognise that neither party is correct and that the evaluation is not and cannot ever be as binary as the likes of you and Ilson would have us believe. Let's not forget that there were cretins on here shouting Warne out after three games and it's been relentless since.
Log on > state your opinion > move on
Thanks for the advice though 😂

Slightly dumbfounded that the best forward for the league was available for 800K and we weren't in for that.
Where is the money to spend? We sold Knight and Bielik. What was that money used for?  Don't tell me it was to pay off outstanding fees to Lech Poznan because supporters were assured at a charter meeting that there were no outstanding fees to pay before these players were sold.
It leads me to believe that we were in for Jonson Clarke-Harris and that @Big Travwas once again correct in what he was saying. I think our move for him fell through because the Cashin move to Brighton fell through. Trav can confirm or deny that if he wants/knows.
As for his ITKness - people are saying he only knows when someone is in the building...surely the contact he has, who presumably works at the club, is always at the club all the time and is therefore hearing all the time about what the general news on the ground is/what the club are trying to do?
I have been ITK in the past as some people know (my contact left a few years ago now so haven't been for ages) and just because they worked in one particular department didn't mean they didn't regularly hear about who we were wanting to sing/what the general mood was/who the targets were etc.
So, all being said in done, I'm definitely still a Big Trav fan, I feel sorry for him for the pelters he's getting and want to say a big THANK YOU for sharing what info you get on the forum.

I have just spent the best part of 100 minutes supporting our lads at the game in very difficult circumstances , to come on here and read some of the remarks continually made against the manager and most of the players I really do despair , I get the fact we are all fans but the constant digging by some posters is wearing very thin

Not sure I can get get through a season of this ,,,,,, Warne s football ? Erm no ,these bloody match day threads
reading how it’s beyond belief Bolton are so much better than us ,, really ? Really ? They fiddle arsed around ,created hardly anything and only scored with the help of a gift wrapped homer ref giving a disputed penalty and a flukey deflection and that’s against a ten man derby who had at least two real pens not given , one of which could have seen they’re player sent off and countless odd decisions, won’t be rushing to swap my season ticket for one at Bolton so I can watch that superior football 😂😂😂,
we wernt great and we lost 2/1 away at a promotion rival , it’s a long season in div 3 and it’s going to be even longer given that there’s some spewing so much bile to our manager win or lose
