Maybe we could adopt the old Jim Smith style of attack when Ron Willems sat behind Gabbiadini & Sturridge - that attack was devastating in our promotion season .

For today, switch McGoldrick sitting behind a more central Barkhuizen & James Collins

That first season under Jim was outstanding and that game against Palace at the Baseball Ground to seal promotion was fantastic. A pacy striker like Sturridge being fed by Mcgoldrick would fit the bill

"...It is understood Quantuma have seen proof of funds from at least five groups who still want to buy the club. They include Kirchner, former Newcastle owner Mike Ashley and former Derby chairman Andy Appleby...

Sky Sports News has been told that while the priority is to complete a club takeover long before the fixtures are released, there is the potential for "back-up" funding to be made available for Derby to assemble a squad and fulfil their fixtures should that process be delayed."

Who are these well heeled business people Dorsett is referring to? Gadsby, Clowes, Amott?

  3. Nothing worse than the club announcing a great signing only to see them flop in a white shirt. Even worse when they leave and become world beaters. There have been a few:

    Derek Hales

    Danny Graham

    Lee Bradbury

    Francois Grenet

    Butterfield?

    Stern John

    Bragstad

    John Harkes?

    Danny Mills

that thug from Wimbledon whose name escapes me

Blackman? Debatable if he was any good although he did have a short purple patch at Reading

suspect there are many more although only really Graham went on to do anything
