I liked Lampard when he was Derby manager. Just didn't like the way he dithered about the Chelsea job at the end, that ruined our pre-season.
It's interesting to note that Wayne Rooney (19 points) has secured more points from his first 12 match as Derby manager than Lampard got (18 points), remembering that Lampard had the luxury of having the likes of Mount, Wilson, Tomori, Keogh etc to choose from.

    *Buchanan
I don't tend to take this secret scout fella seriously. In the Lampard season they felt he could make the step up to the first team the following season. To most watching the U23s, that has never been a  realistic possibility. Then here they say Buchanan's main flaw is his physicality. For the record, he's won the 2nd most aerial battles in the league despite only playing in 15 of our 24 games so far.

I'd say the same for Detectorists. Definitely worth a watch, even though the premise (two middle-aged men walking around fields with metal detectors) sounds terrible.

Well exceeded expectations in both ability and attitude, great example to the others.
A few should take a look at him and be embarrassed.

He looked absolutely gutted at the end of the match last night. Felt for him but that's what I want to see from all our players. When it means that much to the whole squad we will start to get results.

He really has surprised me these last 2 games.
Strong, Great in the air, holds the ball up, bullies opposition, good awareness, good touch/control, decent vision, and he has more pace than you'd think too.
What i loved more than anything was him constantly motivating his teammates though.

What a setup that was for Stretton: Strength, passion, skill, and awareness. It had everything.
Deserved an assist and nail the win that.

Great post-match interview between the "Colin" Club. Kazim was a mixture of anger/disappointment but huge spirit. We haven't got enough character in the squad but Kazim has got plenty. Respect.

Very impressed with CKR, love his commitment, he could easily choose to just coast along, do the bare minimum and distance himself from the disaster that is our season so far, but instead he made his presence felt both on and off the pitch (Radio Derby described him as looking like "the Angel of the North" after he was brought off and offered loud encouragement from the stand).  If he goes on like this he'll be a Rams legend by the end of this season, especially if we stay up.
You can see why his goal tally isn't huge - he's a Heskey style target man, but what a relief to have him on board!  Someone yesterday dubbed him "the sideboard", I'll second that!  The wardrobe is gone, long live the sideboard!

Interesting stat and the fact is the team was always set up to give Rooney the ball in front of that back four shows how influential CKR was yesterday

Spot on @Ramos. Even as he was being subbed off, he was shouting to his team mates to raise their game. Brilliant. Too many of our players are doing goal celebrations that have the last word on some social media altercation (cf Holmes and his “gaming” charade) and yet show no or little passion on the pitch. CKR made me eat my words yesterday and I loved him for it. Deserves a big goal on Tuesday night ; some of his vision and touch yesterday was nothing short of, dare I say it, Martin-esque. And Credit Rooney for bringing him in from the start in contrast to Rosenior giving him 10 minutes and Cocu not even giving him that.

Football is a simple game but over-run now with types who confuse it with chess and cod-strategy.

38 touches in 67 minutes yesterday.
Only Rooney vs Watford (49 in 90 minutes) has bettered that at CF this season

He's taken some really unwarranted stick on here because a) he's not a glamour signing & b) he's not Chris Martin
Have also called for his inclusion for a while now. Yes, he's not that subtle but he has all the ingredients to be an excellent focal point in this team. Technically I think he's great, as you'd expect from someone who has played in many different countries but I also really like his attitude. Tough lad, very vocal with encouragement & if he's not happy with something - exactly what we need.
Massive contrast between his display today & what Waghorn has been providing recently.

Indyram reacted to Andicis in What would McClaren do with this team?
People say ''time to move on'' all the time about Martin and McClaren, but the reason people haven't moved on is simple. We've never brought in a manager that has close to achieved what Mac did, and we've never signed a striker half as competent as Martin in the time he's been here. When we do that, people will move on.

Johnny Russell has been captain of the side this season and must be leading his team well. They've just qualified top of their section for the MLS play offs after a 2-0 away win in the snow in Utah.
This was their first goal from Johnny's corner.
