I don’t think it would be to buy players more like register players to constitute a team

My dyslexic mate booked a weekend at an IBIS Hotel and ended up fighting in Syria.

One more game at Chesterfield this season, the one day cup fixture against Yorkshire on the 21st of August. Which just happens to be my birthday ?
I think a second T20 and One day cup game next season would make sense.

Sorry but for a supposedly intelligent kid with a good career ahead of him you aren't half susceptible to fall for any old crap that backs up your opinion.
Read the posts from sensible posters since this story came out, they can see straight through it.
Going after me on the basis of something Mike f****** Ashley alleges, which hasn't even be proven, really?
As I said all along, IF Quantuma have done anything it'll come out in the wash and they'll pay the consequences- this however is not 'the wash' it's another piece of grandstanding for idiots to fall for without question, alleged against an easy target for the personal gain of someone we all already know to be an unscrupulous b******.
Get a grip.

Agreed. We should start selling season tickets now.
It may give a potential owner an extra fillip when we sell 10,000 season tickets in a week

Indeed. EFL were "disappointed" at the findings of their own appointed Independent disciplinary Commission, disappointed at the indpendent property valuation of PPS, the work of Derby's indpendent auditors, shocked at the temerity of Quantuma for appealing on grounds of force majeure, and now disappointed with the work of the Court's officers Quantuma in trying to find a buyer against the background of all the handicaps they themselves have placed . Always someone else's fault but their own.

The 2 months has set us back massively but not all of it was wasted. We do now have a deal for the stadium (and presumably MSD).That may not suit all of the buyers some of whom may prefer to buy the stadium as well as the club. But Clowes (if it is him) could also just up his offer and buy the club as well, or cut a deal with someone else. We have more options.
But I don't see why the start of season is being used as a deadline. There is no rule that I know of that says we cannot start the season in admin, and hopefully Sports Minister intervention today can make EFL see sense.

I think this is probably the biggest balls up committed by Quantuma, had they insisted on this, and CK tried to move £5m a few weeks earlier, we wouldn't have had the nonsense we've just had. There would've been no "exclusivity" until the £5m cleared and CK wouldn't have been thrust into the spotlight (or under the bus) and wouldn't have been able to back out as soon as it got a but stressful.

Being lucky would have been just that, lucky. A get out of jail free card.
I think we can probably all agree the actual biggest mistake is signing the wrong players for too high prices (we've been through the list a million times on here already, so no need to do it again). But I think the more subtle and interesting mistake is that we held on to players for too long. We should never have convinced Bryson to stay when Burnley wanted him, for example. The same with Keogh, Martin, and probably a lot more. We ended up renewing their contracts and paying near-premier league salaries while we were in the championship. And then most of them left for free. If you look at Brentford, they do the opposite - they've moved on Watkins, Benrahma, Maupay and so on, and then use that money to go and get the next guy, while covering any overspend at the same time.
