I’m constantly surprised by the number of people on here who seem to be expecting and indeed demanding that we cruise to promotion. It very rarely happens; even Leicester are no longer cruising to promotion this season. We’ve only managed automatic promotion once in 37 years, and we’ve recently been at probably the lowest ebb in our history. It would have been nice to win today, but guess what, the teams in first and third place didn’t win either. We still are in with a good chance.

Frustrating loss but there was very little between the sides. Wildsmith must have been wearing his boots on the wrong feet kicking was abysmal today. Back before the Charlton game when there was 16 games to go statistically teams that land in the top 2 on average won 10 drew 4 and lost 2 this is our first loss since then. We can allow another but we can't let this loss effect us too much. Keep the faith! 

Entertaining half of nervy high tense football. Reminds me so much of a play off 1st leg. We're right in this and it will be interesting when/if we put Gayle on he has the movement to break their high line. 

We don't need 3 midfielders on the bench. CBT should have one of those spots unless he's injured.

We as a club ought to be all over this in the media citing Madley’s incompetence and clear bias against us.
We won’t, of course, but we are very likely to pay a heavy price for this appointment. 
It is perhaps a good job I didn’t get a ticket for this match. Almost certainly, as with Burnley, we are likely to see Barnsley get into the automatic promotion places at our expense as a direct result of Madley’s decisions.

My preferred line up for Saturday below - I would start Gayle irrespective of lack of match time at Stoke. If we go with the final third options from last Saturday, Barnsley will box us in & eventually overwhelm us - we need that out ball & someone for Barkhuizen & Mendez-Laing to play off. I don't expect Gayle to be able to give more than 60 mins but at that point, there should be more space for us to exploit.
I would also revert to a flat back 4 in anticipation of a tough first 45 mins with Bradley dropping out & Nyambe coming in at RB (if fit). Energy on Saturday is going to be crucial also & hence I would look to start Liam Thompson to rat for the ball higher up the park & make runs in support of that front 3.

I like this a lot even if Collo hadn’t got injured I would have been pleased with this signing 
A goalscorer and more importantly a different type of striker …I really wanted us to sign him when he left Newcastle as I’ve always thought he’s a threat

Knew I’d seen Gayle when watching Alien

We just need someone to come in and help out for a couple of months. We aren't in a position to be too choosy about it

I think with Collins out and him being our only number 9, that we will syart to see more of a 3412/3421 like we finished with yesterday meaning Gayle would likely be in a front 2 with NML until Waggy & Washington are fit. We could switch to 343 with Barkhuizen, Sibley & CBT.
In the next few weeks our attacking options could well be Gayle Waghorn Washington NML CBT Barkhuizen Sibley Wilson so thats still alot of good attacking options at this level

When Owen Bradley commented when Sibley came on, that he hadn't scored at home for two years you knew it was inevitable he would. Great finish.

Really like this lad. Humble, eloquent, appreciative, super hard-working and an absolute beast on the pitch. We need to make him feel as welcome as we can, which in fairness, I think we are are.

Just back from the game. First half not at it couldn’t string the ball or make passes but loved how we got into them with the rough and ready approach. Seasons past we go in two nil down and get outmuscled. 
 
the game changed for me on two decisions. Wilson moving to rwb and korey smith coming on. Love nyambe but he’s not a rwb he’s much better at right back. As soon as sibley came on I turned to my dad for some reason and said he will score a last minute winner just had the feeling. 
 
The team might not always be the best to watch and believe me I could have had a nap first half but I love the work out of possession and the hard work for the shirt. And the crowd second half was the best I’ve witnessed since relegation and I loved every minute of it
