Not quite sure what the thinking was behind starting Chester at RB on this Mehmeti lad but it isn’t working

This is one of those phrases in football I don't always agree with. Service between the striker and the rest of the team isn't a one way street and there were multiple occassions today where Collins got caught on the ball or failed to get into space imo.
Again, not writing him off. Just think Dobbin has showed enough speed, ability and energy in tight spaces to suggest he might do a better job.

Obviously disappointing not to win this one but it'll probably be something we have to get used to in the short term.
Some poor performances but it is the 4th game of the league season, it'll improve. We could have easily lost it at the end but didn't.
Bit early to be looking at league position but we're hardly doing badly compared to others either. Considering how long they've been playing together I'd actually say we are doing well overall.
My only takeaway would be Dobbin's cameo. I'd like to see him from the start as soon as possible, and my patience with Collins is running out a bit. Not writing him off, but just think the young lad has earned himself a go in his preferred position ahead of Collins at the weekend. It was the first game where I thought Collins' general play was poor - maybe he could do with a couple games coming on from the bench against tired legs.

Two home managers have now watched us pass their team to death first half, moved their players 10 yards higher up and completely broken our rhythm. Hopefully Liam has an answer this time…

I can't say I've been tuning into Shrewsbury's games much as of late - or ever - but everyone including their fans seem to think they're just going to sit back, launch it and be b*****ds?
Sounds like the perfect game to have Sibley start, carrying the ball through the middle as he does and looking to run past one or two. That might be the only way we get through them.
I suspect thats what Liam will do, same team as usual but Sibley for Smith. McGoldrick off the bench could be handy if we need a goal last 10-15, especially if he can cause half the havoc he did as against Hertha Berlin.

It’s dangerous to hope isn’t it?! I’ve been thinking similar, Knight and Bird both heavily involved, would be gutted if we sell either of them. I mean I’ll understand and accept it in the bigger picture as it would make financial sense and both are clearly levels above league one, but I think both are great and would love them along with Cashin and Thommo to be around for years as the core of our side. How good would it be if they stayed like some of those Juventus players when they were relegated a few years back. 

I really wasn’t sure about the McGoldrick signing, age and injuries + never been a consistent prolific striker…
