RamsFan10 got a reaction from Carl Sagan in Paul Warne on Sportscene for full hour 1st August
Tbf, the person who messaged in started with ‘I am not looking forward to this season as our strikers a poo’ so I get why he responded how he did…

RamsFan10 got a reaction from AlvoRam! in Summer Transfer Suggestion Thread 2023
Have said it before but Benik Afobe, similar age to Wickham, is on a free. Better scoring record too and was training at Arsenal a couple weeks back. Perhaps he wants a Championship move but surely worth a look (and perhaps we've already taken a look).

Waghorn would be a good option (not that he did anything against Stoke, assume he’s not up to fitness) as a back up. Warne says we want a ST and a 10, Waghorn can play all those roles. Perhaps gives Brown chance to go on loan.
But we still need another striker regardless.

Bradley’s got a ball magnet in his forehead. Ridiculous.

RamsFan10 got a reaction from MackworthRamIsGod in Jordan Rhodes - gone to Blackpool
The comparison between Rhodes and McGoldrick’s scoring records is a bit ridiculous. Didzy had scored 8 goals in a premier league season just two years before joining us. Rhodes hasn’t hit 8 in the championship since 2016.

If we end up with Collins, Rhodes and Washington after Warne's 'three good strikers' comment...
With the likes of May and Smith gone to promotion rivals, I'd like to think we have someone better up our sleeve than Rhodes for that third striker spot.

Think Sam Smith from Cambridge on a free now is an obvious one people have mentioned, but the fact no one has signed him would suggest his wage demands are rather high.
Might be one we see move in a few weeks time when his wage demands drop. Only 25 years old and has scored around 15 goals last two seasons at this level for a poor side. You’d hope he’d add a few more in a better team.

There will be a meltdown if we sign Washington after Warne’s “three good strikers rather than four average ones” comment.

RamsFan10 got a reaction from Eoghan1884 in Mark Harris - joined Oxford United
Looks to be a better option than Washington imo.
As every fan on the planet does too for their club, I hope we push the boat out on a marquee forward as well. But this lad is young and clearly rated by people in the game, could be a good addition to the forward options.

I think the whole Knight saga could serve as somewhat of a litmus test for how much money Clowes can/is willing to put into the playing staff.
Obviously we are still yet to pay a transfer fee under him. If he was trying to run it on a shoestring, Knight would have left for the rumoured 1m or so that’s been bid. If we had bags of cash spare he’d gamble and keep him for a year to see if we can go up and resign the lad.
I suspect his position is somewhere between those two poles and we’re holding out for 2-2.5m bid - which is by no means cheap for a player with one year left and playing below his level.
And that’s by no means a criticism of the new ownership. If anything it sounds sensible, although obviously I’d like to have knight in our team for another year.

RamsFan10 got a reaction from Srg in David McGoldrick - joined Notts County
Quite hilariously, this rumour seems to have been sparked by a Notts County fan on Twitter screenshotting a text he received. No actual journos have said he’s going Notts yet, just fake Twitter accounts. Some of our fans have been completely duped.

RamsFan10 got a reaction from Zag zig in Bristol Rovers (A) Sat 15th April
We were poor today and have been for a few weeks. Not going to be one of those saying ‘we nearly didn’t have a club, put it in perspective’ but things aren’t as glum as some are making out. A point gained on Peterborough today and still in with a shout at play offs.
Warne couldn’t do a thing wrong only a few weeks ago. We’ve got a tiny aging squad so things will inevitably slip at this point in the season. Hopefully we can regroup and sneak into playoffs with some momentum. If we don’t or we do and lose in them, we’ll have a whole summer to strengthen and give it a proper go next year. COYR
