They are who I will join as I've got to know them well but I'm not currently a member.

GB SPORTS reacted to Ram@Lincoln in Steve Nicholson leaving the Derby Telegraph
After 37 years service, Steve Nicholson finishes his reporting of Derby. No matter what you think of his articles now during the click bait world of the Derby Live website, he's been an absolutely outstanding linchpin to Derby media over the years. Before the social media world he, along with RD, were the number one source for all things Derby. I wish Steve all the best with whatever he does now, wherever it's retirement or somewhere new without the pressures of clickbait and online adverts. Thank you for all your hard work over 37 years Steve!

GB SPORTS reacted to May Contain Nuts in The Administration Thread
Just because Ashley kept Newcastle ticking over as a lower PL and very occasional top Championship team it doesn't mean that he will put in enough money to see Derby at that level.
If he could have got away with Newcastle being a mid table Championship team for years he would have done, but even keeping them in their natural position was an affront to many of their more deluded supporters.
Average home attendance for them generally hovers around 49/50,000, averages for us, what, 25,000 or less?
I can't imagine that he'll be particularly bothered if he has us only playing mid-table Championship football at the end of the next 10-15 years, maybe the odd flirtation with the playoffs... that's out natural position now.
He didn't care about 50,000 Newcastle fans thinking they should be higher than they were, why would he care about 25,000 Derby fans thinking the same?

A possible reason is that the new owner has to follow an EFL business plan, which is likely to prevent any promotion push for two seasons.
It's quite possible that the plan is to acquire the club for as little as possible and just to keep things ticking over for two seasons and then starting to invest significantly in the second summer.
Administration is such a rubbish option. I still can't believe that Mel would have done it unless he was really desperate. That's why I'm hesitant to criticise him too viscerally; I wonder if there's a story that we just don't know about.

I get the feeling CK will care about the club more than Ashley. But Ashley certainly has the clout if push came to shove.
I'd be happy with either of them to take over. I just want this to be over and we can draw a line over it.

Not when I went in 91-92 and they were 2nd bottom it wasn't. About 14-15 thousand there and 2 thousand were from Derby. Best fans in the world my arse.

you sure? Newcastle fans will be unbearable, they never won jack and considered themselves a big club, imagine what it will be like when they get a sniff of success. Nothing against the geordie nation but that lot are deluded and it is not going to get better.

I was going to agogo, but I didn't fancy going through stax of items to find something that i want, it's like finding a needle in a haystack.
I'd have been there all night long.
I have trouble man, like to shop around, it takes me ages to find what I like, I'm worse than any woman, which is really saying something!
I've tried knock off gear in the past, but there's nothing like the real thing, so once I've found what I'm looking for I'm on cloud nine, and don't look any further.

OK, look at what you can do with it, once you've bought it.
Tyre kickers.

GB SPORTS reacted to LazloW in Chris Coles leaving Radio Derby in July
I’m afraid you are completely and utterly wrong on this and your obvious support for Ramage as a pundit (which is odd in itself) is colouring your views on other quite important and sensitive issues.
In any event, however it happened, getting rid of one half of the chuckle brothers was a godsend. I can only hope that Ed finds another job somewhere and then I might finally listen to an away match again.

I took his tweet to mean that other private individuals would be buying it (a LoG). It’s consistent w the Punjabi rams messages.
if there are several gents involved in the league, then we need to be patient. It will not all be agreed overnight

Exactly. If they'd objected at the time we would have adjusted our figures, cut back on the silly spending and probably not got ourselves into this mess.
Now if that doesn't prove it's all the EFL's fault, I don't know what does! ??♀️ ?

GB SPORTS reacted to PistoldPete in The Administration Thread
Yes that is what Parry said. He said EFL (effectively ) were at fault for not enforcing the rules (or rather his interpretaion of them) in the first place. If they had, I believe there would have been no sanctions , no penalty point deductions and probably no adminstration or relegation.
Either the EFL were wrong not to enforce Parrys interpretation of the rules at first (as Parry claimed) , or wrong to enforce them when Parry took over ( I think the latter) but either way there is no way that EFL gets out of this with clean hands.

And we won’t have to worry about not paying player wages in July as we won’t have any players to pay.

So 3 each for May and June, then -15 to exit administration.
At least we won’t have to change the words to any songs.

Whilst a good percentage of what you say is doubtless true there are some holes in your summary.
I have to challenge the amortisation issue. At the time it was seen as not much more than unconventional. This was the verdict of the EFL’s own independent panel. Later rule alterations and clarifications changed the EFL’s position, so rather than “we don’t like this system, don’t do it again” We had to re submit and we’re subsequently punished according to retrospective applied rules.
Further,Do you honestly believe that voices within the EFL didn’t set out to “get us” and had undue influence on a supposedly even handed governing body ? I.e. Boro’s threat of legal action “unless Derby County blah blah blah” and their craven attitude over the Boro and Wycombe claims .. It was not a club to club issue. It was an issue over application of rules, sanctions and their timing .. this is the EFL’s responsibility and the ducked it in grand style. Doubtless due to the same voices within the EFL.
