Elwood P Dowd got a reaction from RAM1966 in Derby finally accept 21 point deduction.
My understanding is that Wycombe have simply sent the club a bill and, as you rightly point out, there is no contractual reason why the Administrators should even consider payment.
Perhaps Wycombe should send their bill to the EFL.

Do feel a sense of unease around Kirchner. He's been very public and open, which as people have mentioned just makes him seem like a complete nutcase missing the quiet dignity that we want in an owner. Also no real expertise or prior understanding of how football clubs are run and as we know these are totally different businesses to any other.
That said, there's an air of confidence and honesty about him. Maybe he's not absolutely loaded (at least not in a billionaire sense) but he seems to have a bit of passion and care and seems like he understands what the club means to the fans. It could turn out to be a breath of fresh air.
But the funny thing in all this? No amount of public pressure or fan campaigns will stop a takeover. If someone wants to buy the club, they will buy the club. They don't even ever have to visit the ground to own the club. We have absolutely no say on this and so it's almost pointless to debate if this guy is our best hope or not.
I mean it's not pointless, because it matters so much to us. But we don't actually have it in our power to stop it happening.
We have to just trust our administrators to do the right thing. The administrators who we, the fans, had no say in appointing...
Nothing quite like being a DCFC fan to make you feel weak and powerless...

The EFL will be worried what a successful challenge might lead to in the future, a successful challenge might be the first step in replacing the EFL with an organisation that is competent and proactive.

Elwood P Dowd reacted to Crewton in I just seen 81m loan been paid off
No mate, I believe it's the loan that Mel got from Henry Gabay to buy the stadium- it was paid off a long time ago but apparently the charge over the stadium wasn't removed. However, it seems to be a tidying up of legal matters that should make it easier for a new owner to buy the stadium.

I do hope that Nixon is wrong about this, for a number of reasons :
    1) I don't think you have a hope in hell of winning. Wigan tried this argument and got  short shrift. And there was a much stronger causal link between their problems and COVID than you can argue
    2) if you are citing COVID as the primary argument, it's just not true, is it? The decisions that led to your current situation may have been compounded by COVID, but they weren't caused by it
    3) this just plays into the "Gibson" argument (for want of a better phrase), that seeks to depict you as a club trying to wriggle off a hook instead of accepting you have been caught fair and square. Whether it is fair or not is a separate issue - it just LOOKS really bad. I can understand that goodwill is not your main worry though
As a Blackpool fan who has a vested interest in all this, I sympathise with those of you who just wants this resolved, along with Reading and anyone else who is in the dock for these sorts of offence. Lots of people outside your fan base feel the same way.
The EFL are supposed to be fighting for their lives at the moment, and trying to make themselves seem relevant in the context of the fan led review.  This dithering, with all the opacity that goes with it, is not fair on any of us. Hopefully, it will be fatal for them, because they long ago forfeited the right to run the competitions they are responsible for.
