I know that there have been suggestions or rumours that Mike Ashley has withdrawn his bid, but not sure if this has been confirmed? Ashley would have been the best option as he is able to fund a takeover which includes the ground. If he is walking away, I think we are really struggling.

You do keep saying lots of things Pete, but it doesn’t mean they are right.
As GOC pointed out earlier Morris selling the Club wouldn’t have made any difference to past P&S indiscretions. And you keep banging on about MFC’s most recent statement making reference to Directors. As @Brailsford Ram has informed you twice, MFC cannot claim against the Directors because they are protected by Limited Liability. Only if the Directors agree to strip themselves of such protections is such action available, which Morris has offered.

Don’t think Ashley has any trouble raising money. He just has a view (probably pretty accurate) on the value of the club as a business and won’t pay more.

My bet both will say no, their actions are against DCFC.
Both will continue to try to get money out of DCFC as part of the exit from administration.
Will be much harder for them to claim the moral high ground, and also to be told "you've been offered your day in court, if you believe your case, why not take it?"

I think the EFL stated that it has to either go to arbitration or be pursued through the courts. Mr Morris has offered not only a solution for the EFL to get themselves out of deep hole (that they have dug) he is also calling Gibson or Couhigs bluff.

All said and done, it's gross negligence on the part of the former owner.

Yes, it could well be his finest hour in the context of 'highs and lows' of football club ownership. I do hope so, and it really does say to Boro and Wycombe; 'put up, or shut up', without further procrastination.

Agreed and actually, I don't think he seeks any adulation. What he will take from his time at Derby, will be an enhanced managerial reputation and a massive boost to his credibility as a person.

He’s certainly put the ball back in their court.
Worst case scenario is they refuse to engage with MM directly. Mel Morris then needs to speak to the potential new owners and offer a personal guarantee to fight this case alongside them and finance any negative outcome (of which we all know there won’t be any)
Glad that MM has stepped up to the plate as quickly as he as following the EFL revealing their hand last night.
Its the correct and proper thing to do, so ?? to you MM

I don't think either Gibson or Couhig will accept Mel's challenge. I think they know they're just chancers. They won't pay their money out to fight Mel.

Sometimes you just need to be happy and accept something at face value or you just churn yourself into the ground.
Thanks Mel. Best thing I have read in a long while.
No arguing you made a right pig's ear of things in hindsight.. but where we are now, it's good to have you back.

Like many others, I am concerned about inconsistencies from the administrators. At the beginning of the process they stated that they would be transparent and keep the fans informed. Now they claim their silence is 'tactical'. How many times have they reneged on their promises to Rooney? What's wrong with being honest and up front about the situation?
No doubt a significant amount of the funds raised from player sales will be going towards Quantuma's ever increasing 'eye watering' fee. Which of course is 100% ring-fenced !

Until it is proven that DCFC owe Boro and Wycombe money, they are NOT creditors. The decision has not yet been reached, so if the case is ever presided over in a tribunal or civil court, it is a future event.
