I have great affection for Putney Bridge station! As a student in the 70's it was my local station. There was a church at either end of Putney Bridge though the one nearest Putney had burnt down around the time I arrived ( A sheer coincidence, I promise!). I used to bell ring at the church on the Fulham/Chelsea side of the bridge. I didn't last longer than 6 months because I was embarrassed at my lack of skill and progress and how good they all were! We used to go to the Eight Bells afterwards for a pint. Small world.
To those fans travelling to Fulham tonight, hope you enjoy a friendly pint (or two) and hope you enjoy the game regardless of the result. It's going to be a tough one. X

Not going tonight, but my last trips to Craven Cottage involved some drinks in the Eight Bells and The Temperance - both of which are right near Putney Bridge Station. Bars around there are pretty away friendly to be honest.

I'll be there...a point would be a great result, 3 points and I will swim across the Thames, naked*, singing "I've got a lovely bunch of [small] coconuts." ?
* terms and conditions may apply.

Absolutely no room for division. All Clubs have a small number of nihilists but the positive vibe needs to be uppermost.

There were a few rubbish chants started on Sunday but they seemed to be quickly drowned out by more positive ones, presumably from supporters nearby.
I think we have a small minority of noisy fans who are disrespectful of everything and everyone - they are just thugs really and hide behind being at a game to do this stuff. If they're not chanting, they are threatening opposition or their own supporters or generally abusing staff at grounds.
I wish we could weed them out but it appears very difficult. But I don't think they are representative of most Derby fans.
I love the positivity of the vast majority of our supporters and think the South Stand have been brilliant this season.

Very positive answers from the administrators to some very pertinent questions.
Was very disappointed to read this in the final paragraph:
"Stephen Pearce has played a vital role in negotiations with the EFL and the appeal, and continues to have a role at the club. Some of those present suggested it would help SP to do a media interview, but the meeting understood reasons why he might not be able to. It was agreed chants which may threaten his family were out of order and should be spoken against where possible."

I'll be arriving in London circa 3:30; anybody heading to Covent Garden for a pint?

It's good to know that there are MPs with an eye on this; the problem is that the very "suits" who're the problem have friends who sit in government thanks to a party "donation" system and a mutual "back-scratching" society. Boris, our PM though usually gets serious if he believes it's a "populist" vote-catcher so perhaps we need to keep an eye on what the impending "decision" about independent inspector of football. Concerted fan power is the only way.

Wouldn't be surprised as others have said if we started with Stearman in a 3, Forsyth replacing Buchanan and fully expect Byrne to replace Festy, although I think RWB would be Festy's best position.
Also it wouldn't surprise me if Lawrence played as the false 9 with CKR still on the bench, he just doesn't look fully fit and he played 70+ mins 3 days ago, with Baldock injured we don't want to knacker him again also.
Which leaves the Morrison v Thompson conundrum, I think purely on experience Ravel will get the nod, although he slows the game too much for me, yes he keeps the ball well but he's just too pedestrian and allows the opposition to get back in position and therefore harder to break down.

Ravel wouldn’t be in my starting X1, we are so much more mobile and quicker without him…..

Loved that banging out at PP on Sunday. It was defiant and proud. And Loud. And it inspired the players, visibly and palpably.
It reminded me of Labi Sifffre. Maybe we can make an anthem from it?
