No apologies needed Sparkle, I did wonder if that's what you meant. If there's any truth to the Mubama rumour, that'd be a step in the right direction. He's a talented lad. Irrespective, I don't doubt for a moment that Warne and co will be trying everything they can to address this, as you know as well as I do that having medium to long-term options has hampered us, even last season where we just about got enough from Dwight Gayle to help see us over the line. Collins may yet accept a shorter deal than he is rumoured to want, but I absolutely agree that it's a shortfall that needs addressing. Hopefully we'll hear something positive once the window opens, though the club is playing its card close to its chest these days. My guess would be that it's PW's top priority in any case.

I think there are only 4 teams receiving parachute payments this season in the championship if that helps

So. What benefit did we gain by Bradley passing to Cashin or Nelson for 90 minutes?  For me we could have sacrificed Bradley for another body in midfield or upfront. Cashin and Nelson were the best centre back pairing in the division and didn’t need the insurance of Bradley.
 

We need pace at the back in the championship 

Goal scorers cost money in fees and wages but you have to play them in their most productive positions 
we currently don’t play with an attacking central midfielder and I don’t see that changing with Warne as the current manager but he may well play Sibley at left wing back where he has performed decently - managers don’t last half a season in the championship on average so being patient has its merits

There must have been about ten LB or LWB brought in to replace him over the years and not one of them was any better - his ability to slot in a left sided centre half if we play 3 at the back will be very useful.

😢 in the end he was a surprisingly good addition to the club. There’s a sense of closure in a way that a number of those who joined after admin to help rebuild the club are heading off with a sort of “mission accomplished”. 

No major disappointment in that list, Wildsmith obviously values himself higher than we can afford for a goalkeeper unless we bring in a better one whilst if Smith had stayed I would have only expected him to be a sub. Brum would be a decent move for JC but he did start at Villa I think whilst Wildsmith can go wherever he wants if he doesn’t want to be here any longer.
