We beat Morecambe by (a) playing football and (b) by the Morecambe players being on the bus home after our first goal. Losing to Wycombe wasn’t the players, it was the tactics. Instead of playing football, which we gave been good at, we tried to be Wycombe, and we aren’t nasty, conniving or cheating enough. And sadly we have continued with the “run a lot snd kick it hard” philosophy.

I understand where you are coming from, but if someone on my family performed that badly, especially for the unpteenth time then they deserve to be informed. The alternative is to applaud them no matter what, which simply tells them that they can get away with playing however they like.
But here’s a curved ball: what if it isn’t the players at fault? What if it is Warne’s tactics? Or, should I say, “tactic”?
This poor run of form has coincided with an increasing shift to lumping long balls into the channels with the aim of someone getting on the end of the alleged subsequent cross - the very sort of football we feared when the new manager was announced. And it does seem to be the only thing in his toolbox.
I know we got excited at some of the football we have been playing, but it seems as though that is because it has taken Warne this long to hammer it out of us.

I have been  told the ref wasn’t up to much, but it was our turn to be really bad and gift the points to the opposition!

Yes Lampard did have options. He could  and should have started with Marriott and Waghorn. They probably couldn’t last the 90 minutes, but were scoring freely. And Villa’s reaction when they finally did get on the pitch confirms that they should have started. 
We should have hit them hard, got in front then changed the strikers over, which is much better than saving your better strikers for when you are chasing the game. Oh, and neither should Frank have left it soooooo late to bring them on, ie too late.

Let’s look at it from the other direction: the majority of these players are heading towards millionaire status, or are already there, and it seems regardless of performance. The vast majority of supporters spend a sizeable chunk of their hard-earned income to go to the matches, knowing that if they underperform to the degree our players and the coaching staff, even half as regularly they would be out of a job.
I believe they have every right to voice their dissatisfaction, especially having seen what these players are capable of, and that the diminishing performances are not a one-off bad day at the office, but have become a regular feature.
When all is said and done the fans are customers who ate buying a product. When that product isn’t good enough and is not up to standard, …………….

Our record against the top-half sides is really poor and our performances are getting worse rather than better. Does anyone really think we will beat either Barnsley, Plymouth, or Ipswich or Bolton? This has all the hallmarks of 2014-2015 at the moment. Losing 4-1 at Barnsley, screwing up a 2-0 lead at home to Shrewsbury, losing 2-0 at home today against Fleetwood this performance is not a 'one off' but an increasingly common occurrence under Warne. 

There was a F** the EFL moment but I don't think it was any worse than usual. Unlike our performance which was worse than anything I have ever known.

I'm waiting for @DavesaRam putting in his match report. If the ref fails to make that then that conclusively confirms how bad today has been.

"They" do still prefer it if you stay away from the public for 5 days (10days for the more vulnerable), but you're right, it's no longer compulsory.  We've got out for a few laps around The Racecourse this week, when we've felt up to it.  Ended up WFH all week, when the initial plan last weekend was to hopefully be back by Weds/Thurs.
Symptoms ("Flu-like") have been up and down.  Groggy, snotty and achy one day, "Almost fine" the next.  Then a step back again!
This morning (touch wood) is probably the first time I've felt physically up for going, in all honesty.  Wouldn't have even been tempted up to yesterday, as I've just not felt well enough.
Yes, technicality I am free to go today, but one coughing bout, and that NE corner will empty faster than being 4 down on 70mins in a play-off first leg!  ?
It may not be contagious, but it sure as hell sounds it!  ?
Not helpedby being surrounded by a good number of kiddies and pensioners!  (AKA, "The more vulnerable"!)
 
Sometimes it's just nice to do "The right thing", even if the opposite doesn't mean you'd be doing "The wrong thing".  (I know what I mean!)

Shouldn't that be, fallen foul the rules that the EFL might make up in the future and back date?
Regarding the straight line amortisation policy, I see that Harry Kane is entering the final year of his contract and might sold for £100m, does that mean that was worth £400m, 3 years ago? ?

The thread is also a good place to discuss how the EFL deal with other clubs who have fallen foul of the EFL rules.
