Whilst, I agree that there is no perfect solution, they've altered the game time to suit a very small minority of those going to the match, which seems rather pointless. Those in the official car parks will still be there when the England game kicks off.
Maybe, they should keep the concourses open after the game, so we can watch the England game and have a pint. I wonder if you'd be allowed to watch the game, with a pint, from your own seat in the ground, on the big screen?

Why would you want to watch the world cup on telly when you can watch the rams at pride park. I know what i will be doing.?

Well, well, who'd have thought it? Put players into a formation they are more familiar with, round pegs in round holes and watch them go! Credit to Paul Warne for making the change that resulted in our most fluid performance since he took over (I hope it wasn't only born out of necessity.)
I will start with Hourihane, because I have been particularly harsh on him. I thought this was his best game for Derby (goals notwithstanding.) Not surprisingly, this also enabled Bird to have his best game for a while. Their workrate and closing down was excellent. When they had the ball, they were spoilt for choice who to pass it to. Our midfield has discovered its engine at last!
The defence worked so hard. The rocksteady Cashin the standout for me, but Fozzy marshalled them well and his experience was vital at times. Smith and Roberts worked their short socks off and got up to support the attack admirably. I felt a bit sorry that they let two goals in, but that was a very inexperienced combination. Despite this  Wildsmith didn’t have a lot to do, says it all.
But the plaudits of course go to the forward-line. The first goal was simplicity itself, McGoldrick stroking the ball into the back of the net. I think it gave him the confidence to go for those other two shots. The best finishing we've seen at Pride Park for a while. I'm so pleased a player of his quality has got his first career hat-trick in front of such a boisterous and appreciative crowd, who seemed to have recovered from Tuesday evening's lethargy. Well deserved, Didzy, and I enjoyed your comments afterwards on Radio Derby about managing your training time to maximise your time on the pitch. Warne, take note - it's not all about running around!
Having said that, Collins - what an engine today, and he did make so much difference to the team dynamic. Mendez-Laing was excellent as ever and Dobbin more at home, although he does need to remember to track back with his man occasionally.
4-2 at half-time slightly flattered Bristol, I thought, but plaudits to their fans, who got right behind their team.
After such an explosive first half it was perhaps inevitable that the pace dropped in the second, but we started brightly, should have scored more, and managed to hold on comfortably with the introduction of fresh legs.
A word about the ref, I thought he did a good job (only missed the blatant foul on Collins just outside the box first half.) I did think Hourihane's was a booking. On today's form we'll miss him on Tuesday night. Hope we've saved some of today's fight for then.
    Well done, Rams!

Can we just skip to that bit where we realise we’ve made a terrible mistake and fire Warne please.  This squad of players is *never* going to work with his style of football, and we don’t have the financial capacity to build an entirely new squad. And quite frankly, I don’t want him building an entirely new squad to play turgid hoofball.

Someone needs to investigate all the officials tonight
How do you so clearly miss the red card, multiple offsides wrongly and call this as a penalty when the main ref doesnt blow?

    Thank f*** its saved!!!

    Now investigate this s***

That's b******* mate, they have been unimpressive for a supposed top two team and have only scored because of a fluke pass.
This should been been a draw all day long.

Yes. He’s right to praise his work rate. And Tommo’s confidence is not at an all time high just now so he needs a boost. He’s mentioned Tommo twice now and hopefully PW will turn him around

Those who are criticising/questioning Warne for saying Thompson played well need to remember that his job is to build confidence, not destroy it. Personally, I think Thompson would benefit greatly from a loan to a League 2 or National League club.

Ten changes from Saturday shows it was our reserves, except we don't have an actual reserve team so one of our problems was that these players aren't used to playing together as a team. In contrast, the Man Citeh U21s train and play together every day. We're being experimental and trying to do different things. They're well drilled and all know their specific way of playing. Pride Park is a Premier League stadium and suited to their way of playing.
The only thing that matters this season is promotion and we're currently cast adrift from three teams at the top. We have the opportunity to get a little closer to one of them on Friday, and that's the only game that matters this week. In the long run, playing no further matches in this silly cup (with three sides of Pride Park closed and a tiny crowd) may prove to be what helps us make it over the line and return to the Championship.
