If the administrators don’t through us another BS line of “bidder named over the weekend!” Then my fear is it’s all over.

It is incredibly frustrating getting 2nd/3rd/4th hand news via these reporters on twitter (some of whom have a poo track record). I hope that the admin release a statement today clearing up a few things. Something along the lines of - "we have submitted PoF to the EFL and await their decision". Then embargo is lifted and we are back to where we all were yesterday before Rooney's press conference.  

Never really bought into the EFL having a vendetta BUT I may be changing my opinion. Get the distinct impression they don't think Derby have quite suffered enough. 

-21pts isn't punish enough. They will do everything they possibly can to delay us being able to name PB as they want to see the pain of selling players and going down with a whimper.

We've gone from thinking Jagielka is getting a new deal, thinking a preferred bidder would be announced and having players lined up to come in.
To losing Jagielka, no preferred bidder and a transfer embargo.
Absolutely disgraceful and we need answers.

So what exactly was the meeting with the EFL for yesterday if it WASN'T to inform them we are announcing a Preferred Bidder?

Percy and Nixon essentially saying the same thing, but one put a dramatic slant on it.
What Percy reports makes sense... EFL need proof we can afford to keep Jagielka before his contract is extended. This basically means we need to announce a PB and get that £5m deposit before we can get anyone in.
I wonder how this impacts the signing of Fielding ?

Agreed, he knows as much as the rest of us but is trying to hide it by being cryptic. He'll know when we know.

Good morning - lots of people making stuff up this morning it seems 

you’re boring mate, if you’re that certain clear off to another club.
There’s people who rely on this club and statements like yours don’t help. If you’re certain we are going to be liquidated go buy your city or liverpool shirt now.
I know I and many people will support this club until the end and IF that happens will support the phoenix club.

The good ship Liquidation is coming into port folks. There's going to be mutiny tomorrow so be prepared for a wave of disappointment.

I believe (I may be incorrect as I too haven't managed to keep up with this thread much) that once a preferred bidder is announced he essentially takes over as almost an interim owner so to speak. He'll make decisions over stuff to do with the football club whilst the administrators continue negotiations with the creditors, EFL, Mel etc. for non football related matters. And if I'm not mistaken he will then also help fund the club's running costs until the takeover is fully complete. So once one is announced it should ease the worries of liquidation for longer and should also make it much less likely we'll lose players for cheap.
