nogbad van 50 reacted to Crewton in The Administration Thread
Ashley has had 9 months to get his act together. He has the resources to have done a deal before Christmas and give us a fighting chance of staying up. He chose not to. Instead, he's been preoccupied adding yet more strands to his retail empire. That will always be his priority, not DCFC.
I once thought he was our best hope of salvation, but all he's done is flirt, and not even in person.
A day closer to Ashley is a day closer to starting next season on - 15 at best. No thanks.

I'll doff my cap to CK, He's working his way up the rungs of the ladder where public opinion is concerned, As you say he's paying someone else's debt, I still don't get it ?♀️why, He doesn't own the stadium...going to lease it, Moor Farm...lease, He laying out 10s of 1000s of £s now to pay wages, He has no connection to DCFC prior to buying the club...I am having difficulty understanding WHY!, Is he the fairy godfather that's looking for a Knighthood or maybe when his time comes he'll have a good seat next to the almighty.
There'll be no criticism from me, There's far more "Nobs" out there that deserve the vitriol being chucked around, MM, EFL, Gibson, Couhig et al.
He who waits for the coming laughs last the longest...says UnluckyAlf ?

Yeah and it could mean another BH next week if she doesn’t make it.

I read some replies to CK on Twitter and I feel embarrassed for some folk. I’m not sure if know which way round to sit on the toilet, others seem to have a sense of entitlement and believe that CK should have done the deal and bought the club and he doesn’t know what he’s doing. Some still don’t think it’s going to happen. A few are still asking if he’s buying the ground. I really think people need to be patient.

Please compare to a family of four trying to go on holiday after three years of covid stopping them only to be faced with the current airport nonsense

CK has already mentioned the 31 was significant in the fact the EFL have there own deadlines etc but I don't hear the EFL being concerned....I 100 per cent think this will get done
This has always been a convoluted jigsaw and its still not sorted and this week was not the best or easiest to move money because of the bank holidays etc ...but how is it a major drama ??
The time to worry if is this still isn't completed in a weeks time but it will go ahead and CK has said to celebrate so chill out and do not worry

Me too. I just hope we see things happening quickly, like the season tickets, Rooney's contract, a few existing players signing on.....The last two years have exhausted every bit of patience I have.

It seemed pretty clear to me too. He's not doing one of those leveraged buyout type things, where he borrows a bunch of money, secures it against the club and then the clubs pays it off. He's putting the money in himself, or if it's coming from other sources, it won't be secured against the club in any way. Honestly, that was probably never going to happen anyway, because if we don't own the stadium, there's not that much here to secure that much money against.
We'll obviously have the usual trading debts he mentions (player transfers etc), and we probably will end up paying some of the 35% to creditors out of club funds going forwards (but I have no problem with that, they are our debts to settle in the first place).

Come on now surely people only want it to happen because they want to know when get the fizz out the fridge or the whisky out in celebration. Unless CK is the biggest con man in history, this is done barring formalities.
Ive just been going big for the last few days just in case anyway! ?

Beautifully worded.
It's one thing to have a viewpoint, pessimistic, sceptical, optimistic or anywhere else on the spectrum of emotions, but once you've made your feelings known, why keep repeating them, especially if you can't provide any real arguments for that opinion?
Myself, when I find myself triggered by a post, I count to ten while reminding myself that you're getting upset or annoyed by a plastic keyboard, or the tap of a glass screen, de-personalising the written content.
Easier to ignore, that way.
Then I get to Eleven, give the Bamford both barrels and end up with a warning!

Which is fair comment @kevinhectoring. But there's a difference between being grounded by Eeyore (and he/she wasn't/isn't the only one), being realistic about the possible outcomes to the process (which are still possible and will be until we get to an announcement that this is over) and banging out a constant highly negative refrain at every opportunity, despite the damage it was clearly doing to the wellbeing of individual members of this board, including myself at different times.
In any situation like this there is a spectrum of view expressed - highly positive to highly negative - when none of us actually know anything. We've had people who have been confident that all would end well but who have still been balanced, and no doubt had private moments of doubt. But we've also had people who have been highly negative, who have gone quiet in the positive times only to reappear at the slightest sign of bad news or no news. Those people should, in my view, consider the impact that their approach has, or might have, on others and if they have done so out of malice (because they actually support another team for example or because they enjoy having that impact) then they should consider the part they wish to play in a decent society. By all means hold a view but knowing when not to contribute an opinion is as important as contributing.
These have been a highly emotional few months for us all. Aged 66 I have still found myself crying at times, in front of the computer; my life and mental health has been badly affected at different moments. The club means that much to me. The continuous groundings of Eeyores has not been helpful

I do like the way CK seems to be pretty hands off...regularly stating he leaves things to the experts that he hires to do the job...we could do with that kind of ownership.
