Both teams looked like cloggers. Joao Pedro for Watford looked decent, but I can't speak about any of the rest...

Yeah he looked decent first half, I got that bored of it second half, I wasn’t really watching, it was just on in the background.

They cruised it for 14 overs, then failed to get 39 off 36 balls with 9 wickets left ?

They lost 5 for 24 in the next 5 overs ?

It was beautiful. Especially Nasser sticking it to Warne in the commentary box. “The wheels have come”, “the collapse continues”, “swinging like a open door”. Glorious ?

I think a lot of folk have a rather limited understanding of test cricket. I've seen some stuff posted calling both Zak and Jos' innings 'attritional' and 'dull' but I'd wager the same people would be moaning if Jos had crashed 35 runs off 25 balls and then got himself out playing a shot he needn't have.

Slight tangent, but I've also read posts criticising Root for not declaring earlier. While I'm not a massive fan of his captaincy, I'd have thought securing a series inside two days of the final test seems a decent option if it's there for the taking. Some people just can't get through the day without a good old whinge, can they?

I’d like these people to please not bother watching proper cricket, and stick to the pyjama stuff.

Have either of you tried it?

I’ve been doing it for my working on blog posts (not necessarily posting something) Was a continuous chain until yesterday. Having been ill all week with a virus....just a normal one, not corona, I’m not that trendy....anyway, I kept it going through the illness, but yesterday I just felt mentally tired, and gave myself the day off.

Straight back on today though. Just doing one for now, might try something else later, but don’t want to over stretch myself right now.

  5. @SaintRam I usually last a bit more than a day, but that is exactly me. Writing is my main thing.  I’ve got piles of stuff. Unfinished work, research that’s not been used. Finished work that’s just been left. I might have to pinch @DarkFruitsRam7/Jerry’s idea to.

its why after several years of talking about it. i went and got myself a web domain and paid for hosting. And started up by blog, with the commitment of at least posting what we’ve been up to everyday. With the idea of doing more when I can. Whilst also getting my writing out into the public domain, even if no sod reads it ?

Think im 13 days in now, without checking. And I’ve got some responsibility with people expecting me to post. So it’s working.

i now need something for the house, which is where I might try the calendar.

I fully understand this post mate.  My lad is autistic as well as having spina bifida.  We've had loads of battles over the years with school and the local authority and I have had those same blank faces looking back at me, so I feel your pain.  I'm lucky in that the wife is phenomenal and deals with pretty much everything, I just get rolled out if she thinks she might lose her poo and needs a calm head ,or needs me to use big words.

Not saying I can offer anything other than the quite brilliant advice @Alpha has already given (think he's missed his vocation in life reading through this thread!), but if there's anything specific I can help with (by I, I actually mean the wife), then drop me a message.

Good luck, stay strong and remember your not alone.

In other news I'm with you, @Alpha and @Mostyn6 on the DIY front, maybe we should set up a group and one weekend a month we can all take turns helping each other further butcher our house's!

Thanks mate. And @Alpha & @Mostyn6 your comments were just what I needed today. Really appreciate it.

  7. @Alpha I decided months ago, one thing I can do is sort my house out. Which currently resembles raynesway tip. I think this has summed up where my head has been. I’ve gone from frantically doing random areas of the house in random rooms. To then giving up for days, leaving the house look no better over 2 months after I started, despite spending a huge amount of time on it. Which has now in my mind turned it into a massive issue that’s stressing me out more than anything else ?‍♂️

  8. Thanks @Mostyn6 you are right. I’ve come realise I’ve neglected myself, and in the end in turns out worse for everybody.

as my daughter gets older, I’m seeing the same problems coming up with schools & services and it didn’t feel like I could do it all again. it’s hard to explain the mental strain of meeting after meeting about your children’s health.

Every 3 months we have a multi agency meeting, where we sit around a table with highly paid “experts” who stare at us blankly and hope we’ve got the answers. Then they promise to do things that never happen. Then at the last one after we’d managed to completely turn around how things were going with my sons behaviour. They basically said that they were amazed as they thought we were ducked and my son was going to have to go into care....I didn’t know whether to be happy or punch someone in the face ?

theres going to be plenty more battles ahead, and the only way I’m going to be ready for them, is if I’m in the right place. Im starting to find that but if time, but it’s not easy. I’m slipping at times. But compared to 5/6 months ago it’s better.
