A friend of mine who lives in Dundee reckons Shankland (ST)  and Siegriest (GK) should be on the radar for championship clubs. Says Shankland's goal tally doesn't look great this year due utd struggling to make chances but reckons he's a better player than Dykes who has done pretty well for QPR. Both in the last year of contract

Shankland will be £1.5 -£2m minimum. I guess that rules Derby out.

Siegriest is a good keeper but possibly £0.5m.

There's a decent crop of players coming out of Scotland at the moment but mostly youngsters, and the clubs will look for transfer fees due to the length of contracts they are on.

Had a proper wobble earlier. Had a few early beers to mark second anniversary of mate’s death, abandoned mates ij Birmingham, considered doing something stupid, someone got hold of my mother, she left a voicemail, i thankfully cannot ignore my amazing mum, reset my brain... need some help. Now thinking how far I might’ve gone had I not spotted the message. Sorry. Embarrassed. But confused.

Well done on posting this ?. Keep talking and listening.

You are not alone, there are lots of us on here willing to listen and help.

Not sure about the stoppage on the Conor Benn fight - real time Vargas looked completely sparked and out but as soon as the fight stopped he appeared completely lucid. Tell you what, Conor's Dad would have a couple more 'L's on his record if that ref had been officiating Nigel's fights.

Courtney and Bridges was a good fight.

I usually switch over when a woman's bout comes on but they threw everything at each other.

Agree with your view about the Benn stoppage, Vargas could have possibly gone down to take a count.

Fair play to Benn, he was sharp and accurate right from the start.

  4. Fury from the 2nd Wilder fight has to be a favourite, but Joshua has more skill than Wilder has and might catch Fury on the chin.

A Joshua performance like the Ruiz 2nd fight is a non starter, Fury will outpoint him.

I don't know why, but I wonder if Fury can get himself into the same mindset and physical shape this time.  The Wilder performance was a high bar to set.

It's a shame one of them has to lose, it's been halcyon days for the brits in the heavyweight division.

Must admit, never heard of them until I saw them on Bake Off a few years back.  I made it a mission to find one, and lo, a few months later, on the way back home through France, I found one on the menu at a restaurant in Chinon (Obviously an Italian rest.!)...

It was nice, but not up to my (very) high expectations.  Not as much wow factor as I'd hoped...  Ah well...

Italian Gelato cafe in Leicester sells them.

You are correct, very very underwhelming. There's not enough flavour in the cream and chocolate to overpower the pastry.

    Don’t talk soft.

You don't understand the current relationship between Scotish govt and the football authorities. Football is on its last warning after flouting covid restrictions all through the pandemic.

If cases spike in a months time, Glasgow goes into tier 4 and they won't be able to confirm to Uefa how many they will allow at Hampden. Uefa have already said the Hampden and Dublin games may be lost if certain assurances can't be made by mid April.

Apart from that, people haven't been able to visit family for the best part of a year and are trying to abide by the rules so that things can go back to normal. Incidents like this have the potential to lengthen the restrictions.

They way I read it as of the 21st it’s full grounds isn’t it?

I suppose it depends on how UEFA play it.

They decide at the end of April how to organise the tournament.

Would the UK govt want visiting fans coming into the country with a risk of importing different strains of the virus and potentially undoing the good work of the vaccination roll out?

There's actually a case for the UK to hold the full tournament and have full houses after the group stages.

However it plays out, it looks positive for the fans.

? 21st June: All this poo ends

22nd June: England vs Czech Republic in the Euros ???

Brilliant news that there will be 10k inside Hampden and Wembley.

The big question is whether away fans will be allowed to travel and attend the games.

Surely the game at Wembley on the 18th June will have both sets of fans in attendance.

  9. Storyville on the BBC player.: red penguins.

American entrepreneurs try to bring capitalism to the Russian ice hockey team in the 90's as Yeltsin takes control of Moscow.

You forget what Russia went through in the early 90's.

Anyone bothering with the Kelly v Avanesyan stream tonight? Steve Bunce waxing lyrical on the Beeb site about the match-up but struggling to get that excited myself. Thought his fight with Campos was dull as ditch water to be honest. Yet to see what all the fuss is about really.

5 rounds in and its a really good fight.

All Kelly in the first 4 rounds but he was tested in the 5th.

Anyone see the Zelfa Barrett fight? Dodgy dodgy

I saw rounds 6 to 10 but wasn't really paying much attention to it.

I'm relatively new to the sky boxing coverage and Johnny Nelson is excellent. Adam Booth was good last night as well.

Incredible!!! Rahane survives an lbw call that tracking shows is hitting middle, then duplicates the call to Gill and the off stump is again cartwheeling towards the boundary. Unbelievable first over from Anderson who has the ball on a string right now. ?

Just caught up on the C4 highlights.

What an over that is from Anderson.

Ashwin better be prepared for another Archer barrage after lunch.
