I was just glad we didn't have to have a Staunchageddon on top of last weekends Timpocolypse.

Just two finals left for rotten teams to lose and Leeds to find their way down and it won't have been that bad in terms of teams that aren't Derby.

And can we please nominate Aberdeen and Dundee, or ICT, or St Johnston, or even the bloody Edinburgh clubs to step up and be dominant in Scottish football? Just for a bit. Just to give Glasgow folks a rest from it.

I think Hearts might run them close tomorrow.

Unfortunately, the gulf in revenues mean there won't be a title challenge in my lifetime, but the cups are up for grabs.

The clubs are desperate for any money this year. I pay £244 per year for a DNA membership, which was setup to help fund transfers and youth development.

In return I get % off the club shop, discounted tickets and a replica home or away shirt every season plus a gift.

I received my renewal phone call from the club today and I said I wasn't sure if I was renewing this year. Straight away he knocked £100 off the price. They'd had loads of people saying that with the increased cost of living they had to sacrifice something.

I reckon loads of clubs will face the same issue.

Winning the Cup Winners Cup with Aberdeen still stands out, in my opinion, as Alex Ferguson's most remarkable achievement.  Beat both B.Munich and Real Madrid on the way I believe.

Yes, those 2 look good on the CV.

The Munich team featured a load of the Spain 82 West German runners up, and the Madrid team had plenty of the Spain squad plus Steilike and our friend from the city ground Metgod.

He really was a remarkable manager and learned loads from his spell in Aberdeen. Probably his most valuable lesson was the way he treated his young stars. He encouraged his Aberdeen players to play at all costs, get injections and play through the pain barrier. They played week in week out, and never really hit the heights after Aberdeen

When Giggs, Beckham, Scholes, Neville etc came through he nurtured them in the early years so that they had more longevity.

What If derby build new ground like I said a while ago what if we built new BBG but were in derby could we build it with opaption to fill the corners in.

The club would need to find +£80m to build a new stadium.

  4. Grandad’s Team - Aberdeen
    - Dad’s Team - Banks o Dee / Buckie Thistle
    - Mum’s Team - Raith Rovers

    - Everyone at your school's Team - Aberdeen, Rangers, Liverpool.

    - Your local Team now - Barrow upon Soar / Leicester.

    - Neighbours team - Leeds ??

    Tartan Army mates who travel to Scotland games - we have 3 x Aberdeen, 2 x Hibs, 1 x Rangers, 1 x Celtic, 1 x Chelsea, 1 x Dundee Utd, 1 x Forest amongst our group.

  5. Men v boys in the 2nd half.

Bournemouth may have just shown the rest of the playoff teams how to nullify Forest.

Stop Spence and Johnson and they lose most of their attacking threat.

However, I have to agree with the post above, Bournemouth do nothing for me in terms of wanting to switch on the TV and watch them.

  6. Smart managers know when to move when their stock is at its highest.

If Burnley stay up I reckon he'd be very tempted, especially if the takeover drags on or the reality of what L1 looks like begins to set in.

I'd like to see James Wilson back at Derby. He was unlucky when with us before and has dropped down the levels to get game time and find fitness. Played 38 games for Port Vale, only 8 goals - but still one of those players who is too good for league two and has a point to prove.

Johnny Williams also in league two playing for Swindon. Surprised hes only 28.

Wilson has had a lot of chances to prove his point. He's just not very good anymore.

Matty Longstaff on loan from Newcastle, Lynden Gooch from Sunderland, Daryl Horgan from Wycombe and John Marquis from Lincoln

Longstaff was dire at Aberdeen this season. He'd be nothing more than a squad filler, and you'd want any EPL loan players to add a bit of stardust.

Perhaps Rooney might get a tune out of him.

We should get 2nd but not going to  over hype till we qualify.

We have the ticket for the play off final.  Hope its Scotland  we play as it would make mends of Joe Jordans cheating goal in 77

If we beat Ukraine I should be OK for a ticket as well, assuming its a decent allocation.

Mind you, I'm not sure the Ukraine game will go ahead in June, we'll wait and see.

I think it's a real 50/50 game if we play each other, a lot will depend on any injuries to certain key players, Bale / Ramsey / Tierney / McGinn.

Must admit, I fear revenge for the JJ goal in 77, but we must be due a result in Cardiff. We've been horsed there so many times in the last 10 years.

Inevitable to be in same group as England if we qualify  ffs

    CYMRU AM BYTH....

If you qualify you'd fancy your chances of 2nd.

I don't think we ???????, have ever played England in a competitive game outside of the UK.
