  1. I  caught the last 2 bouts on last nights card.

Barrett v Donovan was a really good fight.

Felix Cash performed well against Welborn, he looks a talent, although I couldnt understand a word of his interview. I guess he's from the travelling community.

I like the boxing without the fans.

You hear so much more from the ring and ringside than normal, its fascinating.

    Sorry, dont know.

I was over the border by that time.

    Offshore worker perhaps?

  3. I watched Fight camp on Sky last night.

Thought it was pretty good, all things considered.

Most of the bouts were decent fights and the Jonny Nelson 10 min talk about boxing and BLM was excellent.

You know when you look in the fridge, and everything is out of date the next day?

    This is what results!

Bacon, sausage, potato filled perogi, fried egg and a late addition of scrambled egg as the first yolk into the pan split.

Im in a similar situation tomorrow regarding the dates. For the uninitiated whats potato perogi?

Had to do quite a difficult thing tonight.

I told my dad that I no longer want him in my life. I have very good reasons for doing so (I don't particularly want to divulge them on here), but quite tough nonetheless.

Not looking for sympathy or cheering up - just getting it out there. I'm going to watch some Only Fools and Horses to ease my mind a little.

    Echo everyone else's sentiments.

Well done for taking the decision, and keep an open mind for the future.

Stick on bbc this weekend, have a few beers and watch Glastonbury. It works for me.

    All the best mate. ?

  6. There's a relativly new documentary channel on sky.

I watched the Marco Pantani one last night.  Some classic Giro and TDF footage.

Next up is the story of West Indies 1970's cricket team

Theres quite a few sport ones that look good, (Muhammad Ali, Tiger Woods, American Football) and some political ones as well.

  7. Ive gone for an Erdinger selection tonight.

    2 x Weissbier, 1 x Dunkel, 1 × Pikantus.

The Weissbier is easy drinking, lovely. The other 2 are drinkable but Im realising that I dont enjoy the darker beers so much.

I bought a few 'Push Pineapple' IPA from Aldi last week. Slightly sweet, but a fantastic cold drink in the sunshine.

Agree about The Last Dance. Fantastic to see the psychology that goes into a true winner, the drive, the motivation, the dedication to be the best. It‘s a superb sports documentary that focuses on one of the greatest athletes who has graced this earth. The inner confidence that man has is incredible. Jordan comes across well, really driven to win and pushes all of his team mates buttons to get there. A fascinating and very entertaining watch, even if your not into basketball.

The 40 for 40 ESPN documentary on Jordan attempting a baseball career during his break from the Bulls is worth watching.

I haven't seen The last dance, so not sure if its covered in there.

As previously mentioned, Normal People is a good watch. Also recommend Derek if you've not seen it all.

    Just finished Normal people tonight.

Superb.  The ending makes you want more, and hopefully the author has a 2nd book up her sleeve.

  10. Couple of suggestions if you are missing the football.

BBC scotland are doing some decent documentaries at the moment.

If you have sky, search for 'view from the terrace' 'the wee films'.  Short 5 min films on various aspects regarding people / clubs / fans that youve never heard of. Heart and soul of grass roots football.

Also on BBC scotland via sky search for 'Return to Real Kashmir'. Its on Thursday.

The 1st documentary was on a year ago and it features David Robertson ex Aberdeen, Rangers, Leeds full back as he manages Real Kashmir in the Indian premier league. It will open your eyes.

Possibly not child friendly, Davie likes a swear word......

  11. I watched the West Wing series 1 to 4 on C4 when it first came out. Loved it.

Then they stuck it on at 1am and I lost interest, but somehow managed to see series 7 (the last one) at some point

Sky are now on series 5 and im back into it again. Interestingly, its just covered Isreal / Palestine and how USA striking terror cells in the middle east in retaliation might make martyrs and bring terror to the US homeland.

There were rumours around the time that Whitehouse staff were advising the West wing writers on various US policies and using them to gauge public opinion.

Irrespective, its a brilliant TV show.
