So
The EFL didn’t enforce its own rules on time
Parry admitted the EFL were going to be sued by Boro until they did something
Derby have already been punished for their amortisation policy (and still being punished)
Gibson is plucking figures out of the air from PaddyPower
Lawyers have already said the Boro and Wycombe claims are likely to fail
The EFL were not up to date with insolvency laws
The man responsible for the problems is not at the club anymore
No way should Derby be allowed to go under. This will never be forgotten even if Derby survive.

I wouldn't say it's quite that simple when said update could be used in court later down the line. Also when your waging a PR war against someone and trying to keep potential buyers on the hook you want to make sure you get your wording right

Late bid from the Erik Alonso consortium. Offered Steve Gibson a weekend in his house and the deal was done.

Almost certainly less than he thinks he does.

Plus the fact that it is currently EFL who are threatening us with expulsion. Having been threatened by Boro if they didn't let them sue us.

Don't you just hate it when your dog does a Steve Gibson and you haven't got any bags but there's people watching?

It's pathetic juvenile point scoring. Gives them an excuse to lord it over us and act like they're better than us without considering the human or socio-economic aspect of a historic institution being wiped out.
I know it's all if's and but's but I would hate to see any club go under, even Forest or Leeds. Would rather beat them on the pitch than have them capitulate off it.

Unanimous vote from Derby City Council to support the club in all matters. Not quite sure what they’ll be doing. All a bit beyond me right now!

I loved one tweet I saw from a forest fan, who claimed he would quite happily see us go and never thought we were their main rivals as the real ones are Liverpool....

That is total disrespect though sorry. Bury would be as important to all of their fans and its place in their lives as Derby is to us. That is what this is about. We must not forget that esp how their MP spoke so eloquently to help us yesterday

I felt deflated after reading that Twitter update but after a few deep breaths so far as i can tell nothing came out of that meeting that we didn't already know. Admin have just reiterated the stumbling blocks.
It is clear and obvious our fate lies in the hands of the EFL. Pressure pressure pressure, they need to be leant on a lot more.
I know the above is probably quite obvious to many who read it but understand me coming on here and writing my thoughts is a form of therapy and makes me feel part of the effort all fans are putting in.

So the admins say it's in the EFL's hands then. That's worrying.

Not putting much stock in this myself as Jordan has been wrong about Morris and Alonso before as well. But a sign that someone is at least talking perhaps.

You mean Sky Sports sponsors of the EFL have not been covering the story of how the EFL is toast?

New MFC Statement:
Is Steve Gibson Handsome?
Yes, Steve Gibson is a very good looking man who doesn't have hair that resembles pibic hair.
Is Steve Gibson in the right?
Of course he is.
Is Derby wrong?
Of course.
Is a claim the same as a debt?
Yes.
Should Derby pay MFC and beg for the mercy of Steve Gibson?
Yes.
Has Steve Gibson suffered erectile disfunction since MFC finished 7th in 2019?
No absolutely not.

He was on the Twitter Town Hall last night and spoke a lot of sense actually, Angie. He's just trying to whip up the noise level. Fair play to him, imho.

I think the "bid" he's referring to means that they (BBC Derby) made a "bid" to speak to the administrators. Pretty poor choice of words.

Further to this, I think the EFL are meeting Quantuma.
As much as I don't like it, in order for the club to survive, I think we need to swallow our pride and come to an agreement with Gibson and Couhig. It would be nice for the EFL to grow a pair and take action, but I'm not holding my breath.
God, I'm depressed.

Whoever owns the car park outside the Riverside Stadium, as I tripped over a loose/dislodged lump of tarmac, broke my ankle, and had to take 5 weeks off work.
This happened on Saturday, 12th February 2022, at 14:27.
I also broke my crystal ball during this traumatic event, as it was in my coat pocket, so I can no longer practice my fortune-telling sessions, which I have been doing in the evenings, to earn an extra few quid. I have been doing this from March 2021, until August 2023... but don't tell the tax man.
