FWIW I think Didzy would be mad to go elsewhere based on on-pitch aspects. He's clearly loved by fans and management alike, playing in a system that suits him as demonstrated by his most prolific season in his long career. Also, we're obviously looking for promotion and all things being equal, we should be a force to be reckoned with next season whereas Notts County are likely to be looking to stabilise after promotion. Why would you take the risk of playing a different system for a club in a very different position...?
Obviously we have no idea what's going on off the pitch. Loyalty, logistics, money, etc - all unknowns really.
Either way, he seems a really decent fella and I wish him the best in whatever he choses to do.

Look, I want Bird, Sibs and Knighty to be great / good Championship players but they're not (yet, at least).
In other threads, there is talk of how Lampard did a terrible job considering he had Tomori, Mount and Wilson now obviously we're not saying that Bird, Sibs and Knight are at their level but relatively speaking, if they're as good as some talk them up to be, they should be tearing up League One and they really, really haven't.
In a season where we have a 20+ goal striker, a very solid keeper and at least one good CB (Cashin - our best young player IMO), if these 3 were as good as everyone makes out then we should have finished much higher up the table.
I think we're all remembering their promise as they started so young, wanting home-grown to do well, etc but taking hope/emotion out of it and based on last season, I don't see it. These players have all played 100+ games and now in their early 20's. If they were the hot shots some make them out to be, they'd have been bought during the fire sales we had during Administration.
I don't want to be negative - just saying that I think we need to calm down a bit and be a bit more realistic. I want them to be as good as some make them out to be - they just ain't at the minute. Next season is huge for them - I sincerely hope that they really kick on and deliver on their early promise but this talk about £x millions is crazy. Last season we were a slightly above average League One team as illustrated by our finishing position - let's not get carried away thinking anything different.
Oh, and with Bielik - an expensive legacy of the past. He'll go on a free/nominal fee. Good to see him playing so many games and he's back in the Poland squad (all great for him and us) but with one year left on his contract and massive wages, I'm sure the club will take anything and be delighted to have him off the wage bill.

Dropping down to Tier 3 , I would have expected him to have better numbers for goals and assists . As an away member I was suprised that when we played out from the back under Rosenior , away games in particular, he was not willing to move and take the ball in tight areas. Under Warne his tackling has been poor. He has never been able to take dead-balls , this should have changed by now. At Tier 3 he is ok but cannot be compared to Will Hughes - an established Prem player.

    1) Tommy Docherty - for destroying a good squad and replacing it with dross.
    2) Billy Davies - famous for saying that as we held the play-off trophy aloft he thought it should have been Preston-coloured ribbons on the cup, not Derby’s. He then blamed Gadsby for limiting the transfer budget to explain his awful signings for the next season. He forgot to mention that he went on holiday for two weeks as soon as the transfer window opened, and by the tome he got back all the players we should have gone for had been signed by other clubs. He also tried to take on the Premiership with hoofball. 😡
Frank Lampard - yes, I know he got us to the play-off final, but with the loan players he was able to bring in we should walked the league. Strings were pulled to make him look good so he could go to Chelsea, who wouldn’t have been able to sign a complete rookie. And as we approached the final, Chelsea came sniffing, but he wouldn’t have bern able to leave the Rams if he had got us promoted. So he didn’t get us promoted. Come final day in his head he was already off, hence leaving Waghorn and young Jack on the bench, and only bringing them on when it was too late.
And having sold us down the river he then kept us hanging on until more of the transfer window had gone than Billy Davies had done.
Poor Phillip Cocu had no chance, only meeting his new squad halfway through their pre-season tour in America. And the only players he could sign were of the “you’ll have to do, there’s no-one else” category.  He didn’t stand a chance. And despite the desperation of the Joswiack and Beilick signings, Mel had blown huge amounts on the Lampard project, setting us up for the misery we are only now starting to come out of.As such I would put Lampard as our worse manager of all time because of what followed.
Even so, there are only two things about Lampard that I don’t like - both his faces.

I wondered what would happen if we tried to adjust transfer costs by inflation. I took the inflation figures from https://www.totallymoney.com/content/transfer-index/data/#filters?/options?order=4|asc and calculated what we paid, minus any fee we received and divided by the number of appearances we actually got out of the player. The higher the bindex number, the more relatively useless the player was to us.

Yes, I lead an incredibly exciting life.
*Jason Shackell - second spell only
*Bielik - working under the assumption he sees out his contract and leaves on a free.

Is this the same Plange that tore it up in his loan at Lincoln since January?  Their performances in that season is probably not a good gauge on how they will progress, it was a unique set of circumstances with an obviously inspiring figurehead as manager (not the most tactically asture though)....
They may have good careers, but none have kicked on since leaving. Maybe Ebosele's physicality and pace is allowing him to hold his own, and he is playing at a high level, so I think he would have been immense in league 1, but Plange and Ebiowei.....
Look how our established starlets, Bird, Knight and Sibley have all arguably struggled, most of us thought they would boss the games, but they haven't,  there's an odd flicker, but I'd say they've all been underwhelming,  hopefully they will kick on in 23/24 if they stay

Short did ok at Everton but the rest of them didn't really do a great deal. Tommy did ok at Villa and Celtic just doesn't count. Kitson did ok but Newcastle and West Ham weren't great at the time - they certainly didn't end up going on to have amazing careers.

Yakubu was a work permit issue. Signed for Portsmouth a few months later.
Eidur Gudjohnsen and Petit were also true. We got gazumped on both but apparently we gazumped Arsenal on Asanovic.
