Why didn’t Red Bull want to invest in us? RB Leeds doesn’t have the same ring to it as RB County does.

I never said we need one, but it’s how we finished the season and it seems to be how Warne prefers to set up. We came away from that when Bradley was suspended and had no other centre backs, but as soon as he was back it was a return to that shape. I’d be surprised if that changes over the summer.

Both Souttar and Lonwijk would be really solid signings for where we want to be this year.
If Bradley goes to Charlton, Souttar to fit into his place in the middle of the 3, we’d have Lonwijk, Nyambe & Forsyth who could also play there which would allow Rooney to go off on loan. After his injury, I think it’s important he gets some regular game time which he probably wouldn’t get next season.
A starting LWB to replace Sibley with Elder/Forsyth as back-up, plus possibly Iversen in goal, and the defensive side of the team would be sorted, and a quality one even for Championship standards.

I was there too. I've liked James Acaster for a long time, inadvertently watched him back in 2011 when he was warm-up for Milton Jones.
I was worried he might be a little too virtue signalling but I thought he was brilliant. He's an extremely clever comedian who links different parts of his show very well, the well-known Netflix special is genius.

Going into the last day with no possibility of going down would be good.
Introduce some key players that can be part of the squad for many years, rather than one or two year plans we’ve been forced to work with recently.

To be fair, they did have Onana in goal so perhaps players just thought they’d have a go and stand a decent chance.
When you’ve got to beat Stephen Bywater/Lewis Price/Roy Carroll, it’s a much harder task and you’re probably better off passing.

I wonder why we’d do that now? It made sense with CBT because of the allocated transfer pot vs loan pot with the restrictions. But if we are going to, for example, pay £300k to loan DI then sign him for free next year, why not pay £300k to buy him now?
We have 5 available loan slots in a match day squad, it wouldn’t make sense just to use one up in that way.
