    Having flu.

4 days in bed and I've lost 3lbs so far.

My wife often says she wants a bout of food poisoning, great for rapid dieting ? She once said she’d love to go to prison. Miserable food that you wouldn’t like, plus a gym and hey presto weight loss. I have suggested that these are rather extreme solutions.

Fantastic stuff loweman2. As an ‘outsider’ my memory bank of The Rams began when Derby signed Franny. I’ve often mentioned (sorry to bore but it’s ‘my’ special story why I’m black and white and not blue mooning) Franny made this nine year old cry rivers leaving my beloved Man City for a new chapter under Dave Mackay. So from that day I became a proud Ram and despite my family doubting, I never returned (They are my number 2). Anyhows...... I may have missed it but did you ever get hold of Mr Lee for this series? Be fantastic if you did/could!!

I met Tommy Booth at a party, someone I watched regularly from the terraces, he does corporate stuff at The Etihad, strange for me that the pre Lee era I’m all Maine Rd memories. Now I have many memories from BBG and PP when I had a season ticket. ?

Great story SK ... you can change your spots. You still love your alma mater, mines the ones we beat the other night. I couldn’t believe Gordon Hill went to Derby when I was a teenager. ... saw Franny Lee at Manchester airport once in the late 80’s stocky (actually I mean we’ll upholstered ) overcoat, suit like any business man of the day. Never said a word but he saw me seeing him, got a great nod and a smile. Cracking player

  3. Well I’ve been running round the garden for 15 mins trying to catch my Dog .. she finds hedgehogs and stands over them and barks none stop. I am guarding the little spiky thing torch in hand and finally manage to grab her collar .. phew .. inside now hedgehog safe but has the dog had a wee ? .. arrrggghhh ?

I was born in Hull and lived in Cottingham for 13 years and was taken to Boothferry Park as a kid to cheer on Hull City in the lower leagues of football, also Craven Park to cheer on Hull Kingston Rovers. At about 7, I started to show an interest in Liverpool, but my older brother who is a Chelsea fan advised me that everyone at school supported either Liverpool, Man Utd or Leeds Utd and I should support someone else, and like a fool I listened to my elder brother!.

So I grabbed the newspaper with the league tables in it, closed my eyes, waved a pen over it, and landed on Derby County.

Funny thing was, when I eventually attended Cottingham High School as a teenager, one of the older lads rode to school on his Raleigh Chopper with a Derby County sports bag, I never plucked up the courage to speak to him, but I reckon we we were the coolest dudes about!

The family moved to Aberdeen in 83 and I've been here ever since. Oh and my younger brother is a Wolves fan, he liked the colour of the kit.

Brilliant tale ??? it’s hilarious when you think of everyone’s football geneology. It isn’t always home town, Dad supported them logic.

  5. Really glad Max has gone to Aberdeen. I have a good friend locally who ironically comes from Inverurie. Aberdeen are my Scottish team by default in brotherly support so to speak ( also consider that they did a full Leicester when Fergie took them to the title. Which was pretty flipping amazing and for ranks second only to the treble with Man U )

Only writing this cos I’m cooking tea, bored, Mrs Jono is watching suits and it’s another hour before we know who we’ve got in the Milk Cup, Carling cup league cup or whatever ??

anyway ... up the Aberdeenshire Rams ?????

  6. Window companies that you agree to see and then they say they want your wife present before they'll come (after they've nagged you on the phone.

Why ? .. my wife trusts my aesthetic sensibilities, she is bored to tears by technicalities but they'd rather lose the appointment than "breach" their policy. Are they saying a) My wife doesn't trust me or b) I cant make a decision or c) it has something to do with weird sales techniques.

Either way .. you ain't seeing me or flogging me anything

  7. Me ! .normally peaceful and easy going but .. I really am horrible when I have IT issues ...I shout swear curse and  I randomly threaten to crush, throw, obliterate my iPad or  even the company one. None of this is wise, logical sensible or likeable ... I can swear that Google is the antichrist. Apple log ins are the work of a satanic demon. Alexa is a forest supporter and thick as mr Gump. If I had eyes that could spew white hot beams of death rays, it is entirely possible that I would have fried literally hundreds of pieces of blameless technlogy when for the most part I simply need to be patient !

If you want to share music from your Apple ID then yes set up family sharing, it will share just your app purchases, music and if you have a monthly music subscription.

This bit I don’t like, when you have family sharing setup and say child 1 wants to buy a game it gets charged to your account.

There is an option to approve all purchases before they are made though.

To me it’s simple as I’ve seen it evolve I guess, but as with anything once you get your head around it, does get kinda simple.

Really David, many many thanks. My little rant and your logical response stired me in to action. Jeepers ... I now have my own ID and we have sorted sharing .... Eureka

    :o

Are you trying to use multiple devices with your family all under one Apple ID?

If so that’s your problem right there, no wonder you can’t find anything, it’s not designed for that, you need one account per person.

Also iPads and iPhones do not support user account switching, MacBooks you can.

It’s all pretty simple if you use them as intended, and the hard drive limit is just that, if you have a ton of pics you need to buy devices with large storage.

Thanks David .. I sort of realised that but these things grow .. And if I have my own Apple ID then what happens to "our" music .. Suddenly I can't play it. .. And I guess there will be a family share answer to this but ... Jees it is so clunky because it's all about " ownership" licensing and stuff .. Which all goes back to my money issue ... Apple exists because it can take zillions of micro payments from zillions of people and limit what they get for it in a myriad of complex systems that work ... But only if you are prepared to give up half your life to understanding them.

Got round to watching Dunkirk last night absolute garbage ,not a patch on the 1958 version .The CGI and the background, Ahem soundtrack is just terrible.

First time round I thought it was a bit weak, but oddly I watched it again because my nephew was round and he expressed an interest as his Granddad was really there. It works if you view it as a kind of "everymans" view of a moment in time, life and history. The ship sinking scenes were incredible honest and graphic, there was a raw in the moment honesty that I appreciated on a different level than daring do and noble sacrifice ( things I enjoy watching usually) ... A worthy take on an amazing story. ( can't forgive them the 1970's railway carriage though

  11. Multiple family iPads, and old Mac Book, iPhones and one account. Easy ? ... Naaaaa you have a cloud and you don't know which photos are in the cloud, which aren't, why there seem to be about 9 versions of each photo on the Mac, then your iPad storage always lurks about 0.9gig from full and Cloud wants 2.99 a month for a bit more storage for photos that you don't really want but the prospect of going one by one through them to delete them is just too much, and anyway have you deleted the cloud version of the one on your iPad ? How many passwords, verifications, id's, reminder codes, DNA sampling and recovery emails, back ups, auto back ups, Apple Pay, and then anything you've paid for isn't yours anyway, you've just licensed it .. What's that all about ! The IT and communications industry .. Hugely clever, very useful but boy are we being scre**d on a by the minute basis.

.... Apple, definition ... A handy tool with great access to your bank account I order to feed the hungry of Southern California and Chzen zen province.

My girlfriend thinking she's Lewis Hamilton on the brakes (breaking far too late for my liking, constantly think she'll plow into the rear end of another vehicle)

my wife, who as a passenger, thinks all cars are fitted with additional brake actuators on the passenger seat cushion. ( they only work if both sides are squeezed together and coincide with a sharp intake of breath. )

I with people would stop fantasizing about living on other planets. We need to look after the one we have.

Regardless of human expansion beyond our globe, if we hadn't had the yearning and drive to explore beyond our sphere we would not have mobile communications, GPS and a thousand other inventions that save lives and enable us to see both the good and bad that we are doing to our planet.

Adventure is to be encouraged. In life (and on the pitch )

you must have a fancy tv

    With brass knobs on.

ummm LG something or other. Medium sized about 6 years old. Barmy when a new version of the same thing costs about 1/3 of what I paid .. In fact I might put this one in the annoys me thread. I wish new cars came down in price like TV's ... In 5 years time I could have a Porsche for the price of a Suzuki now that really would cheer me up

Mini is back, not that german piece of *****, the original and its a cool £50k

    https://www.carkeys.co.uk/news/the-original-mini-is-back-in-remastered-form

Got me all dewy eyed that. My first car .. 8 year old mini 1000. God I loved it. Brakes were a bit iffy but thanks to the new modified plastic shield over the distributor it didn't do too badly in the wet. Must have spent half my wages buying wheel spacers, arch extensions, rev counter and an Astrali steering wheel from Halfords. Then really finished off with a binatone cassette player and a stick on number plate on the bonnet. Cool or what !   :D
