Agree. All the teams know the rules.

I really disagree with your theory as to why play offs were introduced. Surely they were introduced to a) generate more income and b) keep the season interesting for as many clubs as possible for as long as possible. 
 
It’s tough on the team that finishes third (especially if they finish comfortably above the teams below them) but it’s the system we’ve got and, on balance, I’m happy with it.
