I think they the ref was properly punishing one of the most cynical fouls ever.

If you look a bit closely at the photo, you'll see the lino is on that side of the pitch, very close to their player. Unfortunately, he seems to be looking across the back line, looking for offside and not looking at the player with the ball.

Under Matt Taylor, Rotherham were comfortably the worst team in the championship last season on points per game and have continued this season.
When Warne left Rotherham last season, they were 8th and had a game in hand, which had they won would have put them in the play off positions.
