and hes yet to score a goal lol

joking aside i know what ur saying

But just cos hes getting played doesnt mean we made a bad call not playing him… more of a indikement as to how ill prepared sheff united are.

really hopeful that them or luton could break our record… shame theyre both uo there as it gives them both the chance at some points and that one win

Osula was raw, still is, but he had pace and an eye for a shot and would/should have been someone to introduce regularly at about 60/65 minutes to scare a few tiring defenders. We could have done with him second half of the season, indeed anyone with even half an eye for goal, but we ended up with Springett, White and a bench keeper.

I said in my post what i voted for. You dont have to read the comments, you could just make yourself comfortable and watch the poll votes trickle in with a box of popcorn and a glass of port. 👍🏿

I think I will close my eyes buddy. Have a good shift.

I do when it suits me.
Not sure my earlier response to you counts as fence sitting. You’ve clearly set your stall out in opposition to Warne, and are therefore assuming that other responses match your own view. I’m merely pointing out that there’s an assumption in your reasoning that you can’t determine.
The timeline I opted for as to when it may be appropriate to review his position doesn’t determine whether I’m happy with the current performances.

Other than the first paragraph, I have no idea what point or points you are trying to make.

That’s your interpretation of the poll. What it shows is that 24% are unhappy with Warne, as they’ve either chosen that they want him gone (6.74%) or that they’re close to wanting him gone (17.98%).

Two of the other three responses don’t have a determined positive or negative view attached to them, just that people believe Christmas or the season’s end an appropriate time to review where things are. You’ve attributed a perspective to those numbers that isn’t necessarily true of all people who’ve voted.

You do like sitting on a fence don’t you.

There is only one vote that matters and that's David Clowes'. Why bother wasting it on here when whatever he decides he will win with a 100% majority in the boardroom?

I agree. Over the last 9 years I have often thought why bother posting/voting on here as it won’t make a jot of difference. I could have used my time better volunteering for The Samaritans.

Well, please give me a little insight into why it is an issue.

The question is quite clear. Where do you stand with Paul Warne? 5 options available.

The question is not how is he doing compared to how Rosenior was doing, or how is he doing compared with how Rosenior might be doing. Let’s not get sidetracked.

WHERE DO YOU STAND WITH PAUL WARNE.

I hope my little insight is of help 😉😂

And David Clowes might be of the view that we are a bigger load of intolerant t***s than he'd imagined.

Quite possibly. He can vote if he wants. Can’t see it will change though the current position that 50%+ are unhappy with his progress to date.

Not sure why Fornah hasn’t been announced yet, pictures were taken yesterday

I understand the Photographer was a complete amateur.  Lovely hot day, Tyrese giving his biggest cheesiest grin, Warney in the background taking down details about his loved ones, and the Photographer forgets about ‘The Sunny 16 rule’ and fails to get proper exposure. “Set your aperture to f/16 you t***; your shutter speed should be the reciprocal of the film speed”. Jesus. I can see I am going to have to travel up tomorrow with my Kodak Instamatic.

Can I ask the leave immediately people who pays up his 4 year contract !

    The club.

It will be cheaper to get rid, than another failure to get out of League One. Only last week you were seriously questioning his signings. How much more money are you happy for Warne to waste?

Be interesting to do the same poll again if we lose the next two difficult away games.

I agree that the poll has come a little early, but win, lose or draw those games, perhaps the poll can be re-run by @David as I think our performance in those two games will produce a discernible mood shift. We need to be able to beat a ‘decent’ team.

Forget where he's coming from, he's a top player at this level and to get him permanently is a real coup.

Really? I rather doubt many on here have ever seen him play? What’s your experience of Fornah based on?

And some posters are equally happy to post any old rubbish in their campaign against Warne.

I've got news for you. He is not going anywhere anytime soon so we might as well get behind him. He took on a tough job (probably tougher than he was expecting). He needs time and our patience (not enough of that in football). I simply do not know if he will prove to be a good appointment or not, but will give him time to show me.

Good for you Yoxo. You are a proper fan, no doubt about it 🤲

Wolfie, my friend. I am quite happy to post any old rubbish full stop.

Only time will tell as to whether Warne was any good for our club. Happy to revisit this with you later in the season to see whether I am underestimating his abilities.

He didn’t say that. He said we were close to agreeing a deal, he hoped it would be done for Saturday but it was unlikely, he also said he’s been wrong before.
Perhaps you’re right in that he should say nothing until the deal is done, but he’s asked repeatedly in his interviews and I am quietly confident that a series of “no comments” from Warne when it comes to recruitment would also generate a fair amount of hand wringing and teeth gnashing amongst the fan base. The bloke can’t win when it comes to pleasing everyone/meeting varying expectations of the fan base.

The bloke can't win a sufficient number of games on the football pitch. I think that is what bothers us more.

Thank you for your help with statistics. I couldn't be arsed to look up the details myself. I did use the word "if" in my post to indicate I hadn't checked the players actual records.

Quite. Some posters are happy to post any old rubbish in their support of Warne.

Yes of course the financial aspects are great providing you look after what you earned. But my point is not that Cashin should not leave Derby County but for his own benefit when the time comes to move on, and that may well be this month, it is important for him to go to a club which is a good fit for him and offers him a good chance of continuing personal development as a footballer. For the reasons I have outlined I simply question if that club is Brighton? He's an up and coming established first-team player now who I think will be well pleased with how he has progressed. He's quite a big fish in a small pool here but that ends as soon as he gets to Brighton where he will suddenly become a minnow again and have to fight his way up to a much more crowded pond. I think his chances of ever playing first-team league football are very small. There are a few Championship clubs who have aspirations for promotion in the next two years and would increase his current wages. If of course any of them would want him, that sort of club could be more suitable for him and also offer him a chance to play in the top tier too. Not Brighton for me.

I can't see Cashin getting into the Brighton first team any time soon, and he may be the 'next Matt Clarke'. However, when Clarke joined Brighton their 4 central defenders were Dunk, Webster, Burn and Duffy. Duffy was arguably past it, Dunk and Burn hadn't really set the world alight , and Webster had had one decent season with Barnsley iirc. Clarke ultimately didn't raise his game enough. Cashin might be able to (although I don't personally see it).

There seems a lot of excitement about Fornah, but I haven't seen anything to get excited about. Yes he would be another body for the squad, but I don't see that he's better than what we have. A midfielder who poses very limited threat to the opposition. Which is why the gumps are happy to be shot of him. Mixed reviews from Reading last year - of the kind, "if only he could cut out the mistakes, he'd be decent". So this jury's out...

Quite. I would wager 80% on here have no idea what he is like, including me. Mind you I hadn’t heard of Bradley, Nelson or Elder, so it might all work out well 😉

As long as he’s nice, and speaks well, that should be good enough.

Average positions are usually a good indicator of formation. Based on our starting 11, that was:

    Wildsmith
           Nelson   Cashin
          Rooney
                    Smith                  Forsyth
                           Hourihane LThompson
                         Washington
    Mendez-Laing
    Waghorn

    Kind of a mess.
