I don't care about the Elon Musk/Twitter drama, you could do away with all social media for me and the world would be a better place, but this guy has a point.  We saw with Brexit and to a much larger degree Covid, that we are now very much living in a Corporatocracy.

I think he should get it for that marvellous performance against Blackburn where he looked like a giant blueberry  about to burst and cost us 2 goals in the first 30 minutes.  I'm not sure I've ever seen a player in such appalling shape run out for a game of football . It was disgraceful.

It's very difficult to judge the consensus for a couple of reasons. Firstly, the footage for anyone who doesn't watch hockey looks awful. If you don't understand hockey it looks like Petgrave makes a beeline for Johnson and karate kicks him in the neck. This, along with the nature of online discourse has polarised discussion. There are people who think it's horrific that the authorities would even investigate and there are people who think Petgrave should be tried for murder, never mind manslaughter. Second, many of the more balanced forums have banned discussion both due to the emotive nature of the incident and the fact that there's an ongoing police investigation.
No way was Petgrave trying to maim Johnson, but I do think it's the correct decision to properly investigate. Petgrave is a goon. He's had disciplinary issues in numerous leagues, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything since this is a legitimate role in hockey and pen minutes/suspensions are expected. There is footage of Petgrave leading with the knee in other challenges. I think it will be extremely difficult to prove recklessness or criminal negligence. Not the same sport, but if Kevin Muscat was never criminally charged I think they will have to dig up a crazy amount of footage to establish a pattern of behaviour for Petgrave.

Gotta admit I was listening intently to Radio Derby up here in North Yorkshire hoping to hear the applause in the 38th minute (it came across loud and proud).  I wasn't expecting the commentators to mention it, let alone talk about Daniel for as long as they did. 
B4 touched a lot of lives and trust he was happy with the recognition he got today as he looked down on us all going through the agony that is following The Rams.  I'm pretty sure he tied the defenders boots together for the first and willed the ball into the net for the second!
Its still sad to think we won't see anymore of his rousing posts on the forum.

I actually thought we'd probably lose to Villa as they were flying and was even more in that camp when I saw the starting line up .  Roos pissed me off making it easy for them and I got more pissed off when Marriott came on and Mings s*** his pants for 25 minutes, when he'd previously spent the game pushed up on the halfway line scratching his arse.  Was always going to be a tight game though in the toughest playoff set of teams I can remember.
The QPR and Leicester ones were proper awful as I'm sure in both cases we'd have stayed up and built.  Redemption was quick after Leicester.  Not after QPR. 
We had a real chance in the year we played Hull and should have gone up.  That Ipswich injury too Thorne was crucial, followed by the ridiculous 3rd Hull goal at the end of the game at home.  They were crap.

Even though the World Cup was in India the ICC run the tournament and also say how the wickets should be prepared and which wickets should be used. For the semi final against New Zealand pitch 5 was selected by the ICC but India prepared and used pitch 6 which was a more used than pitch 5 and suited them better. I may have got the number of the pitches wrong but that was the essence of it

By fighting his corner, you mean objecting to your bad take on the law suit and then your libellous follow up? Not so much standing up for him, as arguing against your points which I think are complete falsehoods. There are valid reasons to dislike Elon, in my opinion he posts questionable things and I'm not convinced by how he treats his employees, but why invent fake reasons?

His argument seems to be that they somehow manipulated the platform into proving the point. Good luck suing someone for that

How about he just doesn't allow racist, white supremacist, nazi posts in the first place? Or failing that (because we all know he deliberately bought twitter in order to increase that sort of thing) - how about he offers his advertisers a tier where they can select the "please don't serve my ads next to racist content" box
