ramit reacted to Archie in Eurovision 2024
It suits israel and the msm that the terms anti semitism and anti zionism are conflated. In reality I think very few people are anti semitic - largely people don't know enough about Judaism to dislike it and most Jews that people meet are good people. Most people however, me included, do have many issues with the cruel policies of the state of israel and are rightly anti zionist.

I think they say "it's just a singing competition. He are 14 euros compensation from future predicted earnings if you had been allowed to complete."

ramit reacted to Carl Sagan in Dajaune Brown
Hoping he makes the team, it's Dajaune Brown's Wembley final today in the FA Trophy, for Gateshead vs Solihull Moors. With apologies to @ram59, it would be brilliant if the lad can return to Derby with a winner's medal and a few goals. 4.15pm kickoff.

ramit reacted to BWFCNick in Congrats from a Wanderer
Hi all,
I just wanted to pop on and say congrats on a successful season and well deserved promotion. I know there's been some ill feeling between fans, mostly on the toxic social media platforms (not helped by a large number of idiots of which we at Bolton have f****** loads). I've scanned through your forum and a few others to regularly to check in on the thoughts of some of our promotion rivals over the season and as forums go, this one is generally positive and full of good and honest opinions. We have another fan called Wanderlust who often peruses the various forums and I feel he is a good fan for honest opinions too. I hope we can join you, I'm sure there's plenty of you hoping we stumble and end up stuck in L1 for at least another year, mainly for the fans who've been making stupid excuses for us not winning points this season. Reality is, you and Pompey were the most consistent teams over the season and thoroughly deserve your promotion, so well done and good luck in the championship next year. With your stadium and fanbase and what your fans have been through (trust me, I know what it feels like too), you deserve some good times now!
All the best gents (and ladies)

Much to my delight, our cat Baldur is a music lover and has his own sense of taste. Not much into the hard rock, yet.
I can tell when he's enjoying a tune, he'll jump into my lap, pretend to nap, or begin grooming.
Of course he enjoyed this.

Standup comedy works best when close to true.
Eddie had it down.

And please let it never happen.
I didn't like the approach under wee Billy. Mind, there was a lot about him that I didn't like.
Of the current crop, I like Wildsmith as a goalie but I don't like his gamesmanship.
Yeah, yeah win at all costs, blah, blah, blah.
Respect the game.

I don’t know that their presence on the vegas trip should be a direct indicator of their futures. Hourihane, Collins, Sibley, Thompson, Smith, Bird, Adams are all there and as it stands aren’t going to be Derby players next year.
From what I can see Waghorn, Ward, Wildsmith, Forsyth, Loach, Fornah, John-Jules, Nyambe and Barkhuizen are missing from this group shot that was shared;
Top row L-R; Cashin, Bradley, Elder, Wilson, Collins, CBT, Smith, Nelson, NML.
Bottom row L-R; Washington, Vickers, Sibley, Hourihane, Bird, Thommo, Adams.

Being a newly promoted side with the type of player we have trying to play possession based football would be a thankless task. Our squad has been constructed to defend, set pressing traps and move forward at pace. It can actually be quite fun to watch when executed with the correct personnel. For example watching Luton in the premier league (I know they’ll be relegated) or Coventry who aren’t a possession based side and also set up with 5 at the back.

Some of the 80's music doesn't age very well, but when this number comes on the radio, I turn it up.

The dream ended at halftime, so I don't know but judging by the time he was taking am guessing Ebou scored a screamer or two

Last night I dreamed I was a Derby County player, we were losing a game 0-1 at halftime and I thought well I better take control of this situation and so decided there and then that I had become the team manager. There were 3 new players in the team, all clueless of how to play that particular game, 1 fancy central midfielder, 1 full of himself forward and 1 lost in space right back and yeah, I straightened em out on change of tactics and such on the pitch, as I didn't allow the team into the dressing room, they had not earned that right.
Losing the game was out of the question and the key to my whole tactical solution reasoning was Ebou, my main man, and I was looking for him so that I could tell him the plan of him pulling a couple of meters back in midfield, but he was not there. Where is Ebou, where is my precious Adams, I loudly inquired. He's in the bathroom, gaffer, someone yelled. The dream ended with the whole team waiting on the pitch for Ebou to finish his business, while I wondered whether the full of himself new forward actually understood a word of English.

Bradley has proved, since he recovered from a very shaky start, that he is anything but a "very poor footballers". He may not be good enough for the Championship but he isn't poor.

ramit reacted to Indy in Liam Thompson
It has - but only because it’s given an insight into how great the group of players are. Celebrating with the fans from the final whistle all the way through pubs in town. Genuinely nice blokes happy for themselves, the club and the city.
Compare with other stuff I saw this week with Leicester players celebrating going up by gathering in the safety of one of their mansions and having a few drinks around the kitchen island. Soulless and removed from the fans.
Really shows what Warne has built and hopefully he can keep the spirit even through squad changes over summer.

ramit reacted to FindernRam in Worst, cringe making, irritating, adverts
Reminds me of a flight to Salzburg many years ago when female pilots were rare. We had a pleasant uneventful trip and were walking across to the terminal. We were pretty much last off.
Missus says to me : " Don't you worry about flying with lady Pilots?"
Me: "No , they have same training, more risk averse, so I'm fine!"
Then I have to add: " As long as there's a male co-pilot to hold the map the right way up!"
Female voice right behind me. The pilot: "We don't use maps any more sir! We can't trust the men to fold them up properly!"
She was smiling!

In particular, adverts where I am told how much the company cares about it's customers.
It would be much quicker naming adverts that don't irritate me. Adverts are more and more creeping into everything, can't listen to music radio anymore, the commercial time equals the music time now, it is infuriating.
I have a smart phone, but don't use the smarts, I do however play one game that comes included with it, a tile type of Majong thingy I enjoy. At level 176 I can no longer play it without agreeing to some adverts first, I almost threw the phone into the wall. It is my phone, I own it, it is not on rent, I should have complete control over it, but no grrr.
Like the sucker that I can be, I came back and clicked on allowing the bare minimum of ads and I hate myself for that weakness.
