Plymouth Argyle on average of just over 13,000 home gates last season made a profit and have £6.8m cash in bank according to their financial report that was released in September 2022. But their players wage bill is very low compared with other clubs in League one.

I think, reading between the lines on what Paul Warne stated about talking to Krystian, that he could be back in January. Would'nt be surprised with Jack Stretton also returning at the same time.

We've played 21 of the 23 teams we're going to face in the league this season and not one of them has tried to aerially bombard or kick lumps out of us.
That myth needs putting to bed. The league isn't the same as it was 5-10 years ago (maybe even more recently) than that, it's changed.
From what I've seen it's more the case that a number of fans have overestimated how difficult the league is to get out of based on the past failure of others to navigate it, rather than the challenges the league actually throws up.
Our starting position in the summer has ruled out automatics IMO, but playoffs is plenty achievable / winnable.

Another website called "Salary Sport" gives us different figures and breaks down every players wages including youth team players. They have our total wage bill for the season at £7,863,440 and Conor Hourihane our biggest earner on £12,000 a week. Next highest earner being Jason Knight on £10,000. Lowest earner being 17yr old Riley Molonely on £140 a week.

Based on his wages from coming in on loan from a Premier league club. Would'nt be surprised if Dobbin is the 2nd highest paid, but that information is not shown. On the same site (Capology), I went into Ipswich and Sheff Weds figures, both paying out more in wages with Wednesday seasons bill at £6.72m and both clubs don't pull in the same crowds at home games as the Rams.

I don't think that anyone, Warne included, expects the wingers to keep up their speed for 90 minutes. Warne has said, and McClaren before him, that the idea is to run themselves into the ground and then be replaced with fresh legs. If the wingers are on their last legs then the opposition fullbacks should be too. We make attacking changes, the opposition are forced into defensive changes.

A big test for the team, play to our best and we will take 3 points. Lets keep this unbeaten run going lads.

Looking at other big clubs in League One, at their recent accounts. They all made losses ranging between £3m and £5m, the exception being Sheffield Wednesday who are losing a lot more. Now the difference between the Rams and these other clubs is our revenue from our home attendances, also the fact we can't buy in players on transfer windows. So I can't see us making any major losses this season and surely the business plan drawn up and agreed by the EFL and our new owners would see us coming out in the black or around breaking even.

I don't think you can compare what each manager will do at the end of the season. Warne is currently running with the squad that Rosenior put together in a very short time and during is short reign in charge did ok. Someone at Derby did not think that Rosenior was the right man to continue with the club. Warne, in my opinion has inherited a good squad and will see them finish in the top section of the league.
Rosenior has inherited a struggling team at Hull, in which no player adjustment can happen until the January transfer window.

I don't necessarily disagree, but Rosenior won 4 home League games out of 5 (plus two cup wins), and the one we lost was against the best team in the League so far (Plymouth), and was also only due to a 90th minute "aberration" (though admittedly not by a senior player). Even IF we beat Sheffield Wednesday and Forest Green Rovers (by no means guaranteed), Warne will still have a worse home record than Rosenior after 5 home League games (despite having on average easier opposition). So I do think my comment saying "Home form: worse" is currently backed up by pretty solid evidence.

I've got to admit that I thought this was the wrong manager to take the club forward. He's doing very good, but he's also inherited a good squad of players that Liam put together. The crunch time will be when he brings in some fresh faces in January and if they are the right fit for the current squad. I believe with a bit of luck and less injuries the gap between us and the top 3 will get closer. I will tip now, that this team will finish in the top 5 of League One, what position will depend on other teams form and the January transfer window and those teams involved having key players not getting injured.

Still give some credit to Liam, its the players that he recruited and persuaded to join the Rams thats doing the business now under Paul Warne and who's to say it could have been the same under Liam's management (We will never know). But I take my hat off to Paul Warne and his team of coach's. Still think we need some addition's to the squad in January.

We’re making good progress when you think we are disappointed and frustrated to only take a point away at a strong Portsmouth side.
Not too long ago it would be a mixture of relief and outright disbelief.
Warne is doing a very good job when you think about how resolute and professional the performances are, given the injuries we have and how stretched the squad is.
An encouraging point tonight and one that bodes well for the future. We’re very well placed to kick on in December and the rest of the season.
We definitely should be looking to cement a play off position.

I think going forward, we really should only play one of Collins or McGoldrick upfront at once. We lack a lot of pace in the team, either one with Dobbin or Osula would look more balanced, in my opinion.
