Another day , another 50 posts from Roy Mac . Enabling Rooney

Option 6 - pray he decides that managing Derby is doing nothing for his ambitions and resign.
Problem is, that would require some thought, of which we have seen none to date.

If he resigns I wouldn’t have thought it would cost anything.
He just needs to go, the guy is an embarrassment.

Maybe ask him to resign. Failing that suspend him, then ask him again, nicely of course ?

We're definitely just one decent goal scorer away from a good team.
As soon as we remove him as manager, we'll be ok.

Much though I love CKR I think we really need a 15/20 goals a season striker (doesn't everyone)!
I think if we could find/sign one then we've definitely got the bones of a good team, especially with Bielik fit.
What do you reckon?

Mate, ya can't use terms like 'open and fair' and then in the same paragraph use terms like '********', 'want him challenged', 'bumbling', etc - that's not open and fair. To be open and fair requires both sides to be open minded and listen to what the other has to say. Would you respond well to being challenged as you suggest Mel should be? I imagine not so why should he. This needs to be a sensible discussion so we understand what's gone on, what the latest is, etc. I'm not defending him, etc - just saying that you can't have it all ways.

Honestly feel the best thing he can do is resign. I think he is one of a dwindling number who feel he can make something of the awful situation we're in. Think we need an experienced head not someone learning their trade. Having said that would love to see Curtis involved in the new setup. We desperately need to restore some pride and credibility to the club and think Curtis would help to do that whilst learning the ropes. Got a feeling he'll make a top manager one day.

Maybe an assumption there, perhaps they were very clever girls looking at a nice payday ?

I would guess then it’s a case of WR trying to manage highly paid professional footballers with do as I say not as I do.
Given the club’s recent history I would say that DCFC need a manager who players can respect and look to for help and guidance, especially our younger lads.
Think I can safely say that Wayne is not that man…

chadlad reacted to hintonsboots in The EFL at it again? Blocking signings?
@Boycie Just received a reply from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, and the IFO is the body to contact. Although after the Twitter post from Chris Coles today, I am more hopeful that the EFL are taking a less aggressive approach to one of its member clubs and perhaps the club are also looking for a better relationship with its regulator.
Thank you for your correspondence of 24 June to the Minister for Sport and Tourism, Nigel Huddlestone MP, regarding Derby County Football Club. I am replying as a member of the Ministerial Support Team at the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport.
Football clubs, such as Derby, form an integral part of their local communities and it is vital they are protected.
It is understandable that fans will be concerned for the future of their club. The English Football League referred the case to an Independent League Arbitration Panel which has now ruled. It is not for the government to intervene in this legal process. However, if you wish to take this matter further then you can contact the Independent Football Ombudsman (IFO) which was created in July 2008 by the football authorities, including the Premier League, with the agreement of the government. The IFO was established to receive and adjudicate on complaints which have failed to be resolved by football clubs or the football authorities, and can be contacted at: contact@theifo.co.uk

Boss is a person who has the role.
Leader is the person who has the people.
Rooney is definitely the before mentioned and during these difficult times we definitely would need the latter. I haven't watched the latest news as they won't change my stance. Rooney shouldn't be even close to the role he has in our club.

Wayne’s conduct has been far from ideal in these difficult times. The reputation of our fantastic club has been tarnished recently but most people would expect our Manager to have the basic nous to keep himself away from embarrassing situations.
Time to do the right thing Wayne - resign your incredibly well paid position and concentrate on what is important in life, looking after yourself and your family.

Most professional or responsible roles will have something to the effect of "expecation to conduct themselves in an appropreate manner that will not bring embarrasment to the company" somewhere in the contract. If you've got a big boy job with big boy wages, then act like a grown up. In the real world it's a pretty reasonable expectation.

We would have to continue to pay WR but if we promote from within there may be no increase in the total salary bill

As far as I am aware Wayne Rooney has no coaching qualifications. Why then is he the Manager of DCFC when there are plenty of more qualified people and more experienced people who are already employed by the club. Mclaren, Rosenior, Wassell and Walker are all better qualified and in all probability would do a better job.
The best thing for the club would be for Wayne to walk away, if this isn’t an option gardening leave is probably the best option.
