If their Contracts were extended by the old DCFC company, then thats legal.
I imagine the player registration is an asset that was bought by Clowes and therefore was transferred.
The employee doesn't legally have to transfer but I don't see why their cases are different to anyone else.
Literally the only thing I can think of is if there was a line in their original contracts that states a company in Administration may not extend a contract between the club and the player. (Employer and employee). However I would be shocked if this was considered in the original Terms and Conditions.
On the date the contracts were exchanged, IMO (and I'm not privvy to details obviously), Buchanan and Byrne were contracted to DCFC and their player registrations were.
They made themselves free agents, which I now believe they were legally able to do under TUPE but we should 100% retain their registration so thus, a transfer fee applies.
My other issue here - I don't know what a player registration consists off, and therefore, is there a clause in there which states a registration is only valid with a player under contract? Has anyone ever seen what a player registration document looks like?

This feels like when you took over a lower league club in championship manager and sold all the old players to your other club for millions and then filled your squad in a day!

You are right, likewise this forum is only a very small percentage of the fanbase.
I'm sure there are plenty of Bristol City fans for example that took no interest at all in our situation.
Can only go by what you read and whilst I know I shouldn't stoop to that level, can't help but feel angry towards those sets of fans online. it's those that I would like to see suffer. A lot.
In time I will mellow, but give me a Boro in administration headline right now I'd be down the pub ordering a Megapint.

I know he's a Brummy but hasn't Roy Wood from Wizzard lived in Derbyshire for years.
He's done everything he can to keep his Xmas track going, even so far as duetting with the wombles, so I'm sure we could get him to re-write that for us. Everyone knows the tune.
Maybe get him, the guy from 1D, the guy from Blur and whoever else to form a supergroup. Must be able to do something using Cox, Wizz and a Hor?

To be fair….that’s not ‘just a round of golf’!
A chance to play with the best pro pair, and all the networking opportunities and the fact it will have cost a fortune and been booked months ago. I can forgive him this one.

I love Derby, but if I had the chance to play at that tournament with Poulter and Garcia (let alone the business connections) I’d happily make every Derby fan wait for another week. Sorry.

It's not just any round of golf. It's a invitational only tournament between pros and amateurs that's owned by the public purse of Saudi Arabia. There's a Saudi Prince playing in this tournament, who's worth circa £20 billion according to various articles. Just by attending, the loser of the tournament finishing 48/48 takes home at least $120k. The winner receives more than the winner of The Masters or the PGA Championship. The game is on the 11th June, so Kirchner will be practicing for this.

Edit - Then on this, you'd only get invited to this if you're either massively loaded or you have strong relationships with very influential connections who are massively loaded or royalty. A basic commoner isn't getting to play in this tournament, you have to be a someone or know one.

People getting upset about CK playing golf probably need to accept that DCFC is probably not the most important thing in his life (unsurprisingly).  He’s already implied this in many tweets (I think some people genuinely thought he’d fly over here for every game or move to Derby). This is a business deal to him. DCFC means very little to him on a personal basis. If the deal doesn’t go through then, to him, it will just be business. Not palatable for a fan, perhaps, but it is reality.
So I don’t see why anybody would expect him not to be going about his daily business and sticking to previous commitments, not least because he’s probably got a phalanx of lawyers and others doing his bidding. What is he likely to be able to do himself anyway?
Given his use of Twitter, I am a bit surprised by the lack of communication; I’ve always thought this would bite him on the bum because people would a: expect him to give running commentary on every aspect of his life and DCFC but also because any radio silence is taken as ominous (as I am now doing).
