I think that’s it for us this season and probably our wonderful manager too. Injuries and poor January recruitment have sunk us. If Dane Murphy was still around I doubt he’d have approved the likes of Wood and Shelvey.

I’d say see you next season but don’t have many hopes you’ll get to the playoffs let alone win them..

Even if you do go down, made a decent attempt at it. Really harsh to sack Cooper, though I'd be amazed if they didn't pull the trigger considering the sackings this season.

Are any proceeds of shirt sales going to the charity?  (Genuine question, not being arsey!)

I'm aware the NSPCC logo is exclusive to the player's matchday attire, and the club shop replicas won't be having it on, but hadn't read anything relating to shirt sales still making a few quid for the charity.
Would be good if that was the case.

    ?‍♂️

Shame really, I actually prefer the shirt with the NSPCC logo on it.

We might be old and decrepit (I’m on the front row) but the majority of the people in the photo manage to get our backsides out of the armchair to follow Derby home and away anywhere in the country. Yourself?

Most people can't afford it, no need to stoop to his level.

Jaywick is truly dreadful. Me and mates nearly rented there at uni in the 80s so went back a few years ago for a nostalgia peek and it was awful.

Hastings was very deprived when I was last there about 20 years ago.

And some of the old mining towns in Cornwall like Camborne Redruth and St just are nasty.

If you want grim Southern towns then aldershot should be high on your list....

I live in Camborne, it really isn't that bad, neither is Redruth or St Just. Plus with the gorgeous Cornish coast it's far better than the majority of places in the U.K ?.

They'll have almost certainly stumped up a huge signing on bonus for him though - and as West Ham were alledgedly talking about £150K per week (and possbly a longer contract), I think the lowball (relative!) wage agreements being quoted may be wide of the mark.

Great signing if (BIG IF!) they get the West Ham version rather than the mardy, petulant, can't be bothered version that's been on show too often in his career - and if signing him on such huge wages doesn't destroy moral in the rest of their squad....

Worth a punt on a 1 year contract though!

Yep, hope we can retain him and Rosie utilities him correctly.

It’s bizarre that most people eulogise about Bryson but some fail to see that Knight is from the same mould…

Great engine, incredible tenacity and an eye for goal.. if deployed correctly you could build your team around him Cashin, Bird and Sibley in the spine of the team..

Bryson scored a decent amount of goals though, great ones too. Knight may go on to do that, but as others have pointed out, his main attribute is his engine. I think a few million would help us to get a decent striker when we already have a good midfield.

It’s ridiculous really. I’m currently going through the process of buying my first house with my partner, and the market is absolutely mental still.

Most places have seen prices skyrocket, but we viewed one place which was listed at 265, and in 2018 it sold for 185. Every place we’ve viewed has been booked out in terms of other people viewing, and all have had at least 2 cash buyers offering over market value. If you’re a first time buyer it’s not attainable. You then have people who have rented for years, being either kicked out so the house can be sold for the inflated price, and then the buyer will rent it out for a higher price, making those renting find it even harder to save for a deposit.

We’ve started looking at new builds that haven’t even been started yet, purely so we could secure something and wait, rather than directly competing with people for things we’re never going to get.

I feel your pain, we are currently going through the process now after having an offer accepted that was 35k over the asking price. When the valuation came back though it was put back to the original price so the seller had to renegotiate, very lucky for us ?.

This was also in Cornwall which I'm guessing is where you are!

  8. We have Swansea (A), Fulham (H) and then QPR (A).

Does anyone really see us getting anything other than 1 point from that? ?

Reading will definitely get a win in their next three, especially with them playing Cardiff at home.
