Change.org is just an American company leaching money from people. Their website doesn't do anything. There are petitions with millions of signatures on there that the government hasn't even looked at.
Our piddle few little signatures will have no effect on Change.org. The government petition requires them to respond at certain levels. At the moment people are having more luck contacting their local MPs in any case.

I'm only just catching up with posts from yesterday, but where I believe the EFL are taking a pedantic and erroneous line is that they are effectively saying that these claims must be treated as debts owed to Football Creditors simply because the claimants are football clubs. This is patent nonsense, because they don't arise from any kind of transaction between DCFC and the Claimants. It's not what the Football Creditors rules were designed for. I imagine HMRC think this is bollo too.
Bear in mind that every £ these two chancers are paid is a £ that genuine unsecured Creditors won't see. The EFL should not be placing them above genuine creditors. It's disgraceful.

Sorry but the change.org petitions is just a email gathering service, it won’t get you a guaranteed reply.
The petition needs to go on the government petitions page where 10,000 signatures will guarantee a government reply.?

As has already been said, please do NOT donate on this petition. Your donation isn't going to the club. It's going to Change to pay their server bills, that's it. They are very crafty.
This petition does nothing, get it on the government website and then they'll have to respond.

Echoing this, Change.org petitions really don't do a whole lot, for the Sports Minister to respond and government, it needs to be done on the https://petition.parliament.uk website. Anything else is unfortunately fruitless.

Whilst I appreciate it will be likely treated with contempt - I have sent the following email to Mr Parry and Mr Birch - it will get us no further forward I’m sure - but at least I’ve got it off my chest!!!  And now I can get behind the team this afternoon.
See you at 3pm COYR!!! ?

“Like many other Derby County fans - I gravely concerned by the current situation threatening my football club and I hope you are able to provide some clarity.  In a statement issued by our Administrators they state:
“The difficulty and currently, in our view, the last remaining significant obstacle is to deal with certain claims that are very much disputed but which we are being advised by the EFL cannot be currently compromised notwithstanding statute says otherwise.”
It is this paragraph which concerns me most. In essence it appears that the EFL Board is overriding statutory law in order to punish Derby County beyond what is fair and reasonable. I’d therefore like to ask the following:
    1. Is the statement made by the administrator’s of Derby County FC factually correct?
    2. If so, can you confirm which body within the EFL has reached this conclusion?
    3. Can you provide confirmation that this body has full independence in so far as any member of the Board or its nominated sub-committee which maybe presiding over this matter is not conflicted by way of ownership / interest / contract / membership of or to any of the parties bringing claims against Derby County?
    4. Can you share the specific articles of law or other legally binding agreement that are being relied upon to override what might be considered statute.
    5. Please provide evidence of how the EFL is acting impartially and has applied lessons learned from the sad demise of Bury FC in the handling of this particular matter.
    6. Please provide evidence of how the EFL is working to protect the interest of the thousands of innocent football fans affected by this ongoing punishment of Derby County Football Club.
On this point, it should be made clear that Derby County is more than a name, more than a pawn in an egotistical, power play - it’s an important part of many peoples lives - it does a huge amount to support the community it serves. The majority of these fans are victims and are angered and frustrated at the prior owners handling of matters.
So my final ask, is please do not let the actions of the privileged few be an incentive to punish thousands of innocent victims. The mental anguish you are causing the thousands of people now needs to stop. You have a duty of care which extends beyond your fiduciary duty to the member clubs.
Many thanks for taking the time to read this note.”

Having strangely failed to find the answers to my questions in the FAQs, I sent the following on the message link above:

"Could you advise please whether any party that has (or potentially has) a claim against Derby County is involved in any decision making by the EFL, either at Board or Executive level with regard to the EFL's decision ongoing involvement with the administration and potential future of Derby County.

If the answer is that such a party does have some involvement in the shaping of the EFL's approach and decision making with regard to the administration of Derby County, can you explain please how you ensure that no conflict of interest will arise.

For the avoidance of doubt, please treat 'party' as referring to an organisation, or employee of that organisation, or any body or third party who could reasonably be said to be representing that organisation.

    Thank you."
They have told me that they will hope to respond within 7 working days..............

...to not take an air of gloom into the stadium tomorrow and let it pervade and transmit to the players. We need to go "once more to the breach dear friends...stiffen the sinews, summon up the blood, disguise fair nature with hard-favour'd rage; then lend the eye a terrible aspect;...".
Really need to lift up those players, remain steadfast, look the storm in the eye and make the noise of a united fanbase. We have nothing to lose. Just keep that support going; it helps that there'll be a big crowd of Blades there who may well spark us off.
Show the football World and the EFL that we will not be cowed. Convince Rooney we are still behind him 100%.

I telephoned EFL office. spoke to a nice lady at reception. She told me what she said was "the line" she had been told to give to angry Derby fans. She said I was politer than many of the other calls she had had, poor lady. Anyway I left my number for Mr Parry to ring me back. Looks like I might have to wait til Monday now.

Wouldn't surprise me if he walked at this point. If we come out of this transfer window having lost a load of key players then what motivation does he have to stay? Survival will be impossible. He's already enhanced his reputation. He can sit by the phone and wait for a fresh opportunity, I'd imagine he wouldn't have to wait for too long.

    Sheff Utd
    Birmingham
    Hull
    Peterborough
    Millwall
Away games are Forest and Boro.
Anybody else looking at these fixtures and thinking we have a great chance of closing the gap and that we couldn't really be wishing for a better run of fixtures.
