Tamworthram reacted to ThePrisoner in Season Ticket Refunds
Well, September isn’t over yet for one unless you’re following a different calendar?

Not the clubs decision though.
and your season ticket doesn’t get you into sway matches either.

This one belongs in the unpopular opinions thread. Whilst I wouldn't be quite so scathing, I'm with you in that I'm mystified as to how this bang average film has managed to generate such an impassioned cult following. The dull abides.

Tamworthram reacted to Andrew3000 in Super- fan Chan-young Lee
Just wanted to celebrate this kid who has introduced himself in the rams around the world section of this forum. Many will know of his super-quick goal clips provided on Twitter, this South Korean lad appeared recently on Rams Review Podcast (where he politely tolerated being called Lee the whole time, which is his surname/family name)
Somewhat bizzarely, he became a passionate Ram since the play-off final against QPR (must be drawn towards injustice and tragedy) and gets up at 3 or 4am to watch matches.
He also writes pieces promoting our club in South Korea. I'm not on Twitter but I'm sure many have welcomed him already. Hopefully we can reach out and help him visit Pride Park one day. I think he will feature more on ramsreview pod so a relationship is developing there. Hope the club are aware too and might assist.

Tamworthram got a reaction from jono in Car you currently drive?
It’s not a big engine, only 1461 (diesel). I think the AMG line for the B class is more about it’s features than engine size/performance but, a joy to drive especially with the four different dynamic select options. Whilst still not quite a Suburu, I got the “sporty” car out of my mid live crisis when I drove a 2 litre Hyundai for a few years.

Mercedes B Class AMG automatic.
Five years old now and, given I've just been asked to go and do a contract with the company I last worked for (two years ago. I've not been looking for a new contract since then) I may treat myself and change it for a new one (well, ideally not brand new but one with less than 3000 miles on the clock) over the next couple of months.

Isn't it a sad reflection on modern football that we have a thread titled 'Amortisation Policy' ?

I think your final paragraph pretty much sums up what I’ve read elsewhere in that the policy adopted by Derby may be beneficial for a certain, short period, over time it all evens itself out and there is no gain in the medium to long term.

Just finished season 2 of True Detective.
I know I was warned it doesn’t live up to season 1 but my word it was bad. Awful plot. I was so bored I barely knew or cared what was happening by the end.
I’ll still give the third season a go as I hear it’s better. Can’t be any worse that’s for sure.

I don't think that's a controversial view. Many regard it as the worst of all the SW films.
I just found it mostly dull (endless talk of trade embargoes and politics) and annoying (JarJar Binks). They also had a great villain in Darth Maul and then wasted the opportunity by killing him off too quickly.
Awful film.

The Laundromat. Gary Oldman, Antonio Banderas, Meryl Streep and other fine performances. A pitch black comedy about the tricky world of big money gymnastics and it's rare consequences. A beautiful hilariously disturbing little film.
Hats off to all involved with that project. ****1/2

I have just rewatched Series 1. Up there with best series ever... Won't be bothering with 2, may watch 3 if I get desperate.. Nuff said.

Best to take at least a week otherwise, as @Mostyn6says, you’ll judge later series against series 1 and, in my mind, they don’t get close to the standard set.

My advice, when watching S2 and S3, do not judge against S1!
S1 is amongst the best and most intense acting I’ve ever seen.

Your take is completey the opposite of mine - watched that when it was originally broadcast and wondering why I bothered - one of those series where I hope they all die at the end.....
At the time I seem to remember Norton was being touted as a possible James Bond so was interested to see whether he had potential - decided he was far too much of a pretty boy actor with no depth or menace about him, though to be fair it wasn't the best material for him to work with....

I really enjoyed it too, when I saw it few months back. I had very low expectations, being a big fan of the Chevy Chase version and having read some awful reviews when it was released but I laughed consistently throughout. Great car!.
Just checked it out on IMDB and a score of 6.1 is pretty solid for a comedy, to be honest.
7/10 from me too.

Watched "Vacation" on Friday and really enjoyed it. Yes, I know I'm a hypocrite following the comments I've made about a couple of other low brow films and TV shows but I thought it was funny. 7/10.
Then watched the "Burn after reading" on Saturday. Even better. 8/10.
