Isn’t that what the forum is all about though? We all make comments that we believe to be right whether in agreement or disagreement of what others have said. It may happen occasionally but I reckon it’s rare for any of us (you and me included) to post a comment conceding we were wrong with something we’ve said previously. We all (definitely me included) perhaps need to make an effort to do this more often rather than trying to have the last word. 
I reckon your final paragraph is actually agreeing with what I’ve been saying (I think, without going through all my messages). It shouldn’t be entitlement. Hopes and expectations are another thing altogether.

Yep, I don’t get the impression that dc is not a stupid man and only a stupid man would build a plan on being certain of promotion no matter who they put in charge in our situation when he took over , perhaps thought warne gave us the best chance of a quicker return but eggs all in one basket ,,,,,,naw 🤷🏻‍♂️
im also pretty sure dc would snatch the hand off any buyer who came in with the financial clout and right plan to take us forward so he could go back to being just a fan turning up and cheering from the stands like the rest of us , like he’s done for years 

Is it even possible (without 22 other teams receiving significant points deductions) to have guaranteed automatic promotion by the end of October 😀
On a serious note, I agree he is probably looking to sell on as soon as he reasonably can but I'm not sure he was relying on (or even expecting) promotion in year one. I therefore don't think it's backfired on him yet.

I don't think that's obvious at all. If it was he wouldn't have bothered with the Academy for a start. I think ideally he would like to get us in a strong position in the Championship, ready to challenge for promotion to the Premiership with a sound infrastructure and then sell 

I always wonder how many of the fans outraged by Barker's comments - it's been bubbling on X since the game - are the same ones shouting you're f****** s***, get him off, etc etc all game to players who can hear every word? 
If you dish it out, then be prepared to take it.
And if you don't,  then neither Barker or Mendez-Laing were aiming anything at you, so why get het up about it?

Over 24k turned up on a Tuesday night,even after Saturdays poor performance....I think you underestimate the fans resilience.

It’s hardly supporting the team if fans spend most of the game in the concourse but the real problem is how some behave when they’re in the stand. That’s not telling folk how to be a fan it’s just asking them to behave like a reasonable human being.

We should never feel "entitled" purely based on stadium size, fan base, city population, or number of teams in the city/immediate area. Our performance expectations shouldn't be based on these metrics.

What does he mean "big boy"? 
That's a bit sizeist coming from someone who himself has been rather rotund! 
Or does he mean a referee who will favour the bigger club? He's obviously not watched Derby lately if he thinks we might get one of those!

Exeter looked like exactly the sort of team we needed to restore confidence. Not overly physical or aggressive. Didn't sit in and make it difficult to break down.
We played ok I thought. Not brilliant but ok.

Well, what a shitshow that was from us. I don’t know what’s happened to us but we were awful from minute 1 to minute 95. I thought you looked like a side low on confidence but who actually played quite well, you pressed us well and had done your homework to know that’s all you need to do. The personality we showed at the start of the season has disappeared, we’re in real trouble and should have lost by more.
Was impressed with your fans, after Shrewsbury I thought you might have been more negative but the South Stand were positive throughout, lots of supportive chants. You were a bit quiet considering you were 2-0 up, but that’s understandable after recent results. I also thought the ref was excellent.
No bright spots for us City fans I’m afraid, other than Demi Mitchell who will leave in January no doubt. A mini-slump has quickly turned into a relegation battle and none of us can work out why. We’re capable of being much better than last night but you wouldn’t think that. Calling us poor, inept and crap is actually kind, we were worse than that.
Anyway, good luck for the season, hope you go up. Despite singing ‘How s*** must you be, you’re still in league one’ last night, I hope you get promoted, your club is better than this.

Whether our players have proven championship ability or not is a debate for another day but the point of his comment, as I understood it, was that our poor home form makes losing any away game more of disaster. If our home form was good we could afford to carry (I.e. it’s not a disaster) the occasional blip away from home. He wasn’t talking about whether should be avoiding defeat against teams like Shrewsbury or not. Hence why I think you have misinterpreted his comment.
There is plenty to be critical of PW for but that particular comment isn’t one of them. He was simply stating a fact.

And now it's 1.615 per game, equivalent to 74.3 points. Roughly the same as his overall average whilst managing us. Fine margins.
For as long as top 6 (or better) is realistic, Warne will stay as manager for the season.

Agree Angie, I thought Sibley did ok tonight. Nothing flashy but he worked hard and made it possible for Bird to push on. He was solid and did a shift for the team.
 

To give a bit of balance to our current “crisis” we are now one point ahead of where we were last season after 13 games. It was at that stage we went on our unbeaten run of 15 league games. 
 
There’s Hope yet, when we start playing.
